Thread title says it all.

Is Sins one of your five favorite computer games of all time?

I don't know yet; there's a lot of competition on my end.  Competitors:

Star Fleet I: the War Begins, Empire, Ultima III: Exodus, Civilization, Alpha Centauri, Mechwarriors 2: Mercenaries, Quake1/2, Unreal, Unreal Tournament, Baldur's Gate series, Neverwinter Nights.

Whilst it's not in my top 5 PC games of all time, it is very good.  My all time greats would be:

Unreal (Right when you drop from the Vortex Rikers in to the open area).

Neverwinter Nights (It's been installed on pretty much EVERY machine I've owned since release, this one I'm writing on being no exception).

CnC: Red Alert.  The last of the 'quick' CnC games (I like RA3 but still it's a pale shadow compared to #1).

Mechwarrier 3.  Never did get my hands on MW2, which is alegedly better still.

TIE Fighter.  Vastly better than X-Wing IMHO.

 

If we were to leave PC games and open the field I'd probably add in Deuteros, F-19 Stealth Fighter (Atari ST version) and M1 Tank Platoon (Atari ST version).

hmmm....

My PC list plus Console Counterparts:

1. Soase and (honorary) Metal Gear Solid 4

2. Crysis Warhead and Gears of War 2

3. World in Conflict and Super Smash Bros. Brawl

4. The Orange Box and Little Big Planet

5. Call of Duty 4 and Mass Effect

My list probably surprises all of you, considering that its an all-time list, but I'm only 13, and just built my PC 2 years ago.

Otherwise, I've been playing g-cube and original xbox games all my life.

But I am a staunch pc gamer now...

And in case your'e wondering about the content of those games versus my age....I can turn all the blood and most language off.

I haven't played a lot of games recently, but Sins is definitely my favorite of recent games. Of my favorite all-time PC games, that I've played the most and gotten the most enjoyment from, I'd have to go...

  1. Counterstrike (1.6, War3 Mod)

  3. X-COM
  4. NPPAngband
  5. Sins

Sins is definitely my favorite RTS I've played, and that's including classics like StarCraft and Age of Empires.

WOW! for only being 13 years old, your grammar and sentence structures are put together nicely.  I only wish that my 13 year old were that proficient in English.  But, alas, he could care less about English and only worries about his sports and video games and playing with his friends.  Not worried about school and learning (at least not the way I would like him to be).

Why stop there?  I remember the original prince of persia on my amiga 500!  It really showcased what graphics could be like.

I have to squeeze in one game into my top 5 list (I guess pushing Red Baron 3D out of the list): Lemmings

Really, an amazing puzzle/RTS game...another revolutionary game....(again, on the amiga).

2) Command & Conquer series (not Generals, it sucks!)
