No one wants to respond to this?  I find it extremely frustrating that Entrenchment is NOT saving my keybind settings.

I have the same issue.  In fact, the issue has been around for me since beta.  I assumed it was going to be fixed when the game transitioned fro beta to "live," but that didn't happen.

From what I've noticed, the problem only occurs when I switch from between Entrenchment and "Vanilla."  My guess is that this is happening to you as well.  My workaround?  I no longer play Vanilla, thus I no longer have an issue.

I have a user.setting and a uimappings.setting.  Neither is locked.

Now, both normal Sins and Entrenchment read those same files?  Could the problem be that I often load both normal Sins and Entrenchment up at the same time so that I can log in and out of the two and see all of the games that are available?  (Hope Entrenchment is fixxed soon so that we can see and join all games for either Sins game through Entrenchment.)

Yeah, both read those. I would send an email to [email protected] about it so maybe they can work out a way so keep it from happening when people switch.

Well, according to Agent of Kharma he was just switching between the two, not running at the same time, and it was causing it also. Out of curiosity, which are you running first? Entrenchment or Sins? Try running Entrenchment first, and quitting it last. I wonder if it'll work that way. You could also try making it read only, but if the game does what I think it does and just replaces the file with a default it probably wouldn't help.

I wish someone from Ironclad would chime in with some insight about this issue.  <Hint> <Hint>

I just tried an experiment.  I set the keybindings the way I wanted them in Entrenchment and then set the uimappings.setting file to read only.  Then I opened up normal Sins while also having Entrenchment open and it had the default keybindings but it never attempted to create a second uimappings file in my Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Setting folder.
