Banned because the purpose of my life is leaving after high school, so...
Banned because I sincerely and respectfully disagree. Americans, interestingly enough, have been employing an EXTREMELY wise plan for the future so far. A plan, they're not even aware of. You see, as the rest of the world uses it's own resources, America uses the resources of others as well. However, Americans (save for liquid petroleum) hardly use any of their natural resources available to them. I mean, by god, we have so much natural gas underneath this country it bubbles up off the South Eastern coast! We also have the largest reserves of coal, uranium, highest wind energy potential, one of the highest solar energy potentials, and various other untapped resources. The only thing I can think that we truly lack is Aluminum. Therefore, once other countries run out, we will still have plenty, and maybe even sell our excess to the highest bidder.
Banned because it's not the war that's fun, war itself is a terrible thing, yet many of mankind's greatest technological advances have been due to the stress, or threat, of war. Some great race we are, huh? Anyway, it's not the war that's fun, it's the adrenaline of using your own wit, strength and instinct to survive, and to help others around you survive as well. I'd join the army not to kill, but to save others from being killed.
Banned because that makes me feel sooo much more secure about my place in the future...
Banned because life without meaning isn't life at all... I'd prefer my current 72.3 year lifespan, thank you. An eternal life of repetition and stangant, painfully slow or terrorizingly fast advance into the future, the sheer change of everthing, I think, would overwhelm some people.
Banned because I don't think I'll be around for space naval combat. (At least, not in this life)
Banned because I just had a heart attack, but it was just my cat coming down the stairs.
