You're Banned!: The Forum Game

Okay, here's what you do for this game: You have to "ban" the person who posted above you for an outrageous, silly, or funny reason. Got it?

Banned because you're making it all too painfully clear that there's no such thing as a "strict constructionist" reading of any constitution, secular or religious.

banned for getting all political about it

Banned because I'm trying to figure out how exactly to kill Jake in that AVATAR anti-fanfic I'm working on. The basic premise is that a Na'vi named Eytukahn (who is an allegory for Osama Bin Laden) seizes control of the clan from him and then finishes him off. However, exactly how that works is undefined:

I have two main ideas:

  • Jake has to flee from the village after losing power. Either Eytukahn kicks him out, or Eytukahn actually wants to kill him and is hunting for him. He wanders into the mountains trying to find another clan, and is killed by somebody. I have several sub-ideas about who finally does him in:
    • He gets jumped by predators. There are so many Cameron has given me to work with, and they all have their strengths
      • One of the big bar-nosed rhino-oid creatures: one of these charges and nearly kills Jake in the very beginning of AVATAR, but he narrowly avoids it, and I kind of like the idea of, after all this time, one of them finally getting to finish him off. I like the symmetry: the first Pandoran creature Jake Sully ever sees is also the last Pandoran creature Jake Sully ever sees...
      • Viperwolves:  they are also the ones that Neytiri chases away from Jake in the movie on the night they meet. Once again, I thought it appropriate that a creature Jake vanquished by the skin of his synthetic teeth finally finishes him, and although it's not as symmetric as the above, it's interesting in that these nasties ended up sort of befitting Jake in that they allow him to meet up with Neytiri (who probably would have killed him if she hadn't needed to save him).
      • Paloulukan, the giant beaked cat Neytiri rides in the battle at the end of the movie: again, this big ugly fellow helped save Jake once before, so it's a nice reversal for one to chomp, chomp, chomp.
      • Wild Ikran: Nice to prove that these birdies aren't so friendly. The Na'vi revere them so much, I want to show that they really are just big, dumb birds.
    • Donaldson's thugs find him and shoot him. (Donaldson is the evil Human general and main antagonsit over the second half of the novel)
      • Alternatively, Donaldson's thugs find him and take him prisoner. I've been looking for someone for the general to capture and coerce into confessing to a Na'vi-rebel-Human alliance that doesn't actually exist. I was thinking of a high-ranking rebel official, but I guess the Turukh-Machto would do just as well. However, while I want to make my readers feel sorry for Jake, having him get slowly tortured to death in Pandora Gitm oafter everything he's already been through sounds unnecessarily cruel, even for me.
    • He tries to ride his bird thing (Turukh), but instead of playing nice the bird attacks him and kills him.
  • Eytukahn gets right down to brass tacks and kills Jake Sully himself. There are a couple of variables to this
    • Does Jake back down when Eytukahn confronts him, or does he refuse to cede leadership of the clan? If he holds onto power, he looks stronger and somewhat heroic (something I'm more than willing to give him in his last moments, especially since counterproductive heroic stupidity is Jake's usual modus operandi), but if he caves and Eytukahn kills him anyway, then Eytukahn looks much, much crueler.
    • How exactly does Eytukahn kill him? The brute has access to both traditional tribal weapons and machine guns "liberated" from the Humans he was hunting. He can either just shoot Jake (short and simple), or challenge him to a knife fight for leadership of the clan. Kahn fights fair and Jake has his genetic enhancements, but he still loses.

Banned for stating it as it is.

And Scout, why don't you just have him murdered? Or perhaps come to the logical conclusion and have Earth ship a real army over, rather than a bunch of dis-organised ex-marines (who aren't even Spess Mahreens, despite being in Spess), and they carpet bomb everything that looks like resistance, including Jake. Then, Osama Bin Pandora can do whatever you want him to do with the survivors.

I thought that's what I am doing. The question is how?

That's actually what happens, but because of the way the plot works I'm pretty sure I want Donaldson to mobilize after Sully's death. That way the rebels have an excuse to let the clan shaman lady out of prison without worrying about her taking over the base again, so that she can end up commanding the robotic army and becoming an analogue to John Cavil from BSG.
