yeah nyquil (or at least a knock-off variant) helped a lot yesterday, slept for almost 8 hours then woke up feeling decent

Sleep as much as you can. Even if it's artificially-induced, it will not only conserve your energy and allow you to recover faster, but pass the time until you do.

yeah, sleep is the number one way to get rid of nasty sicknesses, once slept for almost 36 hours to get rid of bronchitis
