What mouse do you use?

What mouse do you use?

I had my cheap old mouse die on me in the middle of a demigod game which lead to and interesting scramble for an alternative before the otherside killed me. Miraculously, I didn't die. Anyhow, I ended up buying a MS Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 since it was 50% off. It took me a while to adjust to the new mouse. I ended up disabling a few of the features to turn it into a basic 3 button mouse + scroll wheel. That got me wondering what kind of mice other people use for gaming and what mouse button and scroll wheel settings they use.

So I'm asking you guys, which mice do you use and what configuration settings do you have set?

Wacom EC-155-OK or the pen on a MUCH faster BamBoo Tablet... Dynex DX-WOM2, otherwise when i'm either bored or too lazy to bother with voice recognition tricks.

Logitech VX Revolution.  A fantastic mouse in my opinion, works well with all my games.

I have a crap mouse which in every two to three weeks, I have to replace the batteries.  I also have a tablet, so I don't really care about my mouse.  I switch out every so often.

Obviously I win because I use a trackball mouse for fps gaming.

I use a logitech G9, things happen on my screen when I move it, and I don't think I've missed a click yet. :)

Oh... and I'll NEVER buy a mouse without a microwheel again... It's totally brilliant. :D

Razer Diamondback

I primarily use a logitech G9 with the smaller grip, after market mouse feet (cant remember the brand) cuz the stock ones were bad and my mouse pad is a razer destructor. I used to use a razer diamondback 3g optical mouse but the max DPI was too low. love the G9 and its high DPI.

Then you "need" the new G9x. At 5000DPI your cursor will hit neptune before you even realise it passed jupiter. :P

PC:  Logitech wireless optical

Laptop:  Logitech corded notebook optical.  (The wireless mouse interferred with my wireless network)

I tried MS once...many years ago....awful mice!  I have used Logitech exclusively for both keyboard and mice for many years now....Logitech rocks!

I've been using my G7 since '06... Though i think i want a new mouse, i can't help but be satisfied with the interchangeable battery.  Two fast-swap, ultra-light, Li-ion batteries: Recharge without pausing the action. In boost mode, battery charges in 2 hours and you get about 8 hours of continuoues use.

I can't complain... :)

Logitech MX Revolution and a backup MX518 here.

Both on a razor exactmat which has probably seen better days now.

Extremely happy with both though I prefer the Revolution. It has also yet to die on me and lasts a bloody long time on a full charge!

Somehow, that got me thinking about miniaturization, sensitivity, cursor ranges and console "gimmicks"... dual action controllers DO have more buttons to configure, define or scroll with, right?

Lucky us, we have five fingers and a busy thumb for the best. If ATM have touch screens i don't see why rodants shouldn't be able to detect double split nails (making ten possible hits per hand!) some day. Clip wisely & precisely though.

XD

Razer Lachesis, without a pad on a wood slide out tray in my desk.

It's strange, the mouse burned the varnish off the tray so I have a silver dollar size white mark on the tray.
