No one seems to have mentioned a starship (well technically all the ships are starships). Just like a starbase, a starship could have alot of things
you could max out and you could spend alot of idling resources on it. Look for my post, "Starbases, what about starships?", I dont want to have to
explain the entire thing again. Things I didnt write on my post that I think of now are... well, this is based on someones idea but they might be built
on a starbase and be called supercapitols. They could be built from starbases only and would be bigger versions of capitol ships. Categories would be
the same, for example, a super Kol class ship. Notice in the game it says "Class" for some ships in the game, namely capitol ships?!" Forshadowing...
Meaning that there are already doing this for next pack? You should only be able to build one though, or maybe one per starbase.
Seems like a balanced game. Someone builds his economy good enough to accomodate one starbase per planet he owns, and uprades them all, then
decides to build a few super capitol ships? Im basically talking about the TEC. I have never won, one game as Advent or Vasari, let alone played them
at all, though I should. Blame it on my Super Slow computer. So I do not really know any strategy for those other than TEC.
I recognize some of the people who replied on my starship post, so they should know all about it. There should also be a friggin upgrade for how
many upgrades you can add to your Starbases. Or at least an upgrade to how many starbases per gravity well, at least for the TEC. Like I said I dont
know strategies for other factions.
What about an ability for the Protev Colony frigate that allows it to INVADE! Your invading force might be destroyed because the population's planet
is too large. So you would build a crap load of them (20-50) depending on how many men you have in each frigate. It could take time the less soldiers
you have and then they might hold the planet hostage against planetary bombardment. Sounds like a good use for the Protev.
My strategy early in the game is to spend money on defenses and economy and fleets, mainly economy, and then spend money on stuff that
doesnt force me to buy fleet supply, which hampers my economy. Our fleet is under attack! Send the Superstardestr... erm... Super Kol!!
Point is Super Caps would be awesome (and Warships/Protevs). One last suggestion would be that you could make one regular capitol ship in your fleet a super capitol with
a raloz construction frigate, which would show some new transparant parts start forming and building on your ship, which would probably consume the
constructor, or maybe not, depends on the developers.
