Sins of a Solar Empire: Diplomacy updates

Sins of a Solar Empire: Diplomacy updates

As Diplomacy starts to get closer to beta, we're going to be making some changes to the Sins of a Solar Empire website so that players can participate with the development of it (similar to what is done on https://www.elementalgame.com).

No official ETA yet on Diplomacy. It's more of a "When it's done" type thing. But things are going well.

Quoting Howdidudothat, reply 19Holy crap, where have I been?

Annatar is up to 497 Karma and Blair is up to 134.

What's karma supposed to do? Is it like some other boards where friends or fanboys give each other 'points', and it's supposed to amount to a kind of imaginary rank?

Or do we get cash payments? Or guaranteed reincarnation?

its nothing. a source of pride :andrew:

Is the royal frogness reffering to the journals section of https://www.elementalgame.com when he talks about the changes?

This is great news and I almost missed it!

I'll definately be preordering and playing the beta.

Hooray for Diplomacy!

The more stuff I get to do in Sins, the better. Let's truly make it that grand RT4X it was pinned down as originally.

65535?
End of Hack78's quote

That would be the next logical guess.  As far as I'm aware, the highest karma people around here have averaged around 1 karma per day.  At that rate, it would take 200 years to reach 65535 karma.  Hence, they will never hit such a limit within the lifetime of this forum.

or, of course, their own lifetime....

Damn. I thought it was yet another community-started iwannathis idonwannathat thread.

Please start using the Sins news forum, okayz? :P

As for the news...
You know diplomacy is coming, right? Okay. You're right. It is. And we'll do something on the site.
Blair's post was particularly informative, lol.

BUT - it is a heartbeat from the staff and considering how much info was shared with us recently, this thread feels like visiting the CNN website :D.

A step in the right direction. Keep the news coming.

Regards.

Is the name fo the expansion set in stone? I find "Diplomacy" to be a weak name. What about something like "Armistice"?

maybe that's the first order of business: making a poll or suggestion on the pack's name. would be somewhat ironic though. basically the first real thing (aside from the few vague statements about its rough content) the community would get to know is provided by the community :D

I propose 'sins of a solar empire: alliances'

I think a good name would be.........

actually i cant remember what i was going to say. i like armistice, though.

Hopefully this game doesn't suck. I just bought Sins and seeing that stardock is right down the street from me, I would hand deliver this game to them with a note.. B) If its good, I would offer them McD's since that is front of their offices..
