Last person to post wins, unless they are a moderator or admin.

Basically, this game is played so that the last person who post wins. What do they win? The ThreadKiller's Achievement; The honor of being the last person to post by virtue of the content of their post. However, moderators, admins, and anyone else who has the ability to lock the thread are disqualified from winning the ThreadKiller's Achievement, if they win by locking. If the thread is won by method of locking, the "winner" gains the Achievement Of Reprehensible Epic Lameness.

So how is it that a German has been educated in American English rather than British English?

by reading american literature

hard to say I can go for that. I read the Iliad, but it was translated. So, although I have read Greek literature, I know nothing of Greek. I do have a book in Spanish, but when I read it, well... it's all Greek to me...

let me rephrase the question: Given that it was the British Empire which popularized English, not the United States of America, and that Britain is geographically closer to Germany, what factors led the present representative of Germany on this thread to learn American English over British English, as is demonstrated through his spelling of the word 'honor'?

germans hate british?

idk

maybe he speaks often with other americans on different forums and learned not to use 'u'

Thats probably it. Though British Empire may have been the frist, the size of American media and culture has spread its influence in a powerful way. For example, my spelling is ...well bad, so even though I live in a country which is under the British system I learnt to spell certain words like 'color' or 'honor' watching television or reading books which are predominantly American.

It is the power of the Media. Fear it!!
