Last person to post wins, unless they are a moderator or admin.

Basically, this game is played so that the last person who post wins. What do they win? The ThreadKiller's Achievement; The honor of being the last person to post by virtue of the content of their post. However, moderators, admins, and anyone else who has the ability to lock the thread are disqualified from winning the ThreadKiller's Achievement, if they win by locking. If the thread is won by method of locking, the "winner" gains the Achievement Of Reprehensible Epic Lameness.

That's a so so remake of an old flash video featuring George Zimmerman (Men's Warehouse) and Nat X (One of Chris Rock's SNL characters).  Still entertaining after all of these years.  XD

How bad do the Saints suck this year?

They got beat by the Seahawks!

Trick question: The Saints suck all years. Take note that most believe that hell would freeze over should the Saints win the Super Bowl. The one year they miraculously pull it off, Washington D. C. is simultaneously covered in 3 feet of snow.

Something like that.

yeah, there were other images but I liked that one for some reason

by the way, was it upset weekend for football playoffs or what?

Stant will have to answer that question. Not my area of expertise.

Same, where is Stant!

cool,

One for the Distant Stars Lore Thread would be cool as well.

I am watching football.  That's where I am.  The Seahawks game was actually predictable.  No champ has repeated the past 6 seasons and the Saints haven't been all that great this year, so the Saints were bound to lose at some point.  Seattle had a losing record, yet, because of division play, still made it to the play offs, which means the Saints didn't see them as a threat.  The Seahawks on the otherhand, have already been in playoff game.  Last week versus the Rams was technically a playoff game because it was a win or go home game for both teams.  Seattle has already been playing under playoff pressure, been practicing under playoff pressure, watching film under playoff pressure...  Add in Pete Caroll as their coach, a man used to being in the playoffs with his time at USC and a man who knows how to motivate those under him during high pressure situations...

Consider all of that and you get the feeling that even though Seattle was an 11 point underdog in their own home stadium, it wasn't going to be an 11 point or more loss for them.  I didn't pick Seattle to win, but I did bet the Saints wouldn't cover the spread.  I had a very very nice dinner last night.  ;]

End of Ryat's quote

I can try, not the master modder like you guys are, but I do have an eye what I think looks good.

Basically I use the galaxy editor from X3 Terran Conflict and make the pictures from various scripts from the game...

Some good points you brought out Stant. Not to mention the fact that the Cards beat the Saints but lost to the Seahawks twice.

@ G_Bison - master modders of Sins we maybe, but we don't do graphical art well. Well I think Draakjacht does some good work, but I sure don't.

I bet the Jets to win last night based on both defenses being average and the Colts not having everything they need for Peyton Manning to be the QB he was meant to be.  Their receiver corps were still pretty trashed and while they had Addai back to run and block, you could just see the whole game before it ever happened.  The Jet's corners are pretty damned good which takes away the deep threat that a good passing QB like manning brings to the table.  This leaves it up to the run game to open up the short pass.  Addai has been out hurt for a while so even though he's back and healthy, there's no way he was going to be able to run hard enough to bang holes in the Jets line.  Just not going to happen when you've been unable to practice and stay conditioned to life in the NFL.  Like the Colts though, the Jets have an ineffective offense, meaning they have lots of talent, just no one to coordinate it.  Mark 'Dirty' Sanchez is a HORRIBLE quarterback.  The only reason he even got drafted was because he played for USC.  Granted, he's the starter which proves there are worse choices out there, but his decision making capabilities suck.  He's got the receiver corps led by Edwards and Holmes, he's got the running back most teams would love to have in Tomlinson that can run to open up the pass game as well as go out for a pass himself, Greene isn't a slouch either, yet, 18 for 31, 189 yards, 1 interception for Sanchez...  Seriously!  In a playoff game!  A game NOT dominated by defense.  Next week, watch my Steelers play against, it looks like it's going to be the Ravens...  That is a game that will be dominated by defense, yet, both QBs will put up better numbers.

I picked the Ravens to win (and with 4 minutes left and being up by 23, I feel pretty good about that) as well as the Eagles later today.  Green Bay is tough, but I just like the Eagles better at home.  Aaron Rogers will put up good numbers and keep the offense going, but dog killing Vick is an animal in the shot gun formation.  If he see's a hole in the middle, he'll take off and get himself a first down.  Vick's mobility will keep Green Bay's line backers in check, whereas Rogers will have to rely on Jackson, and if Vick doesn't want to run it himself, he can hand it off to McCoy who's a better rusher then all of Green Bay's backs combined.

Steelers vs Ravens eh?

Sweet

Next week:

Ravens @ Steelers - AFC North rivals.  Steelers win.

Jets @ Cheatriots - AFC East rivals.  Pats win.

Both Games are pretty sweet and tough to predict the outcome.

Jets are one of the only two teams to beat New England this year and while I would like to see it again, I don't think it will happen.  Sanchez is too much of a risk.  If he's on his best game of the season, the Jets will own the young Cheatriots because Brady will not be on the field as much as he would like.  If he plays like himself,  Brady's gonna have the kids putting up all kinds of yardage since New England's defense will give their offense the ball back pretty quick.  At any rate, I'm thinking New England walks away with this one by 10.  Jets are good, but New England is better.

Ravens @ Steelers will come down to special teams play.  Unless something goes horribly wrong for one team, it's gonna be a good old fashioned AFC ground and pound slug fest.  Most people think those are boring games, but I love good hard nosed defenses that just destroy their opposition.  Both defenses are monsters to play against.  Both defenses will make stops, both defenses will force turnovers, and both defenses will likely put up points.  Both teams have good running backs who can drive up the middle and wear you down or take it to the house on the outside.  Flacco's young, but he's got a good supporting cast that more then makes up for his mistakes at QB.  Big Ben can't be brought down like a normal man and is always clutch (that mysterious game winning factor) when you need him to be.  Steelers O line has been doing a much better job this season then they have in the past and that's even with them going through players like whiskey through an Irish man, so the Raven's will need to bring the pass rush and bring it hard all game long.  Steelers have the biggest deep threat in the game in Mike Wallace...  A man who runs so fast that he has to slow down to catch balls thrown 50 and 60 yards down the field.  The Steelers also have Heath Miller.  A great run blocking tight end who is not afraid to stand tall in the middle of the field and catch a pass.  If the Ravens pass rush is held off, their defense has their hands full and will be stretched out opening up holes everywhere.  On the other side, the Ravens know that the Steelers corners suck so they're going to throw at them early and often.  The real difference is going to come from the play of Polamalu who just appears in front of the ball no matter where it's thrown.  If he can force all of the passes to be made near the sidelines, the weak corners my team fields will have no problems shoving Heap, Bolden, and Rice out of bounds for incomplete passes.  This game will come down to special teams.  Which ever side has better returns and is able to kick longer field goals will be the winner.  I'm picking my team, not because I'm being a Homer, but because we replaced our biggest liability on special teams earlier in the season and our new place kicker has been phenomenal going 14 for 15 on field goals and making all 19 PAT's in his 7 games with us.  This game should be decided by 3 points or less with there being a lot of lead changes barring any injuries or mental break downs that turn this into a lopsided contest...  Injuries and mental break downs I hope are only suffered by the Ratbirds so my team has a chance to go into Foxboro and get some revenge for the loss against the Cheatriots earlier this season.  ;P

Cheatriots, nice...

Agree on both accounts. Especially about Big Ben. About the only way they could have beaten the Cardinals a couple of years ago. *waits for flame*

Nah, I'm not gonna flame you, you've suffered enough this year with the Cardinals.  XD

That is an understatement, though the Suns are really making me suffer.

What about the Coyotes?  =D

Who?

lol

Not much into hockey, which is typical in this area. Not sure why some people are fighting so hard to keep them here. Oh yeah, they wasted millions of dollars on an ice rink for the Coyotes.
