Just allow us to set our own modifier variable for the AI. You can play an ai getting a 2.0x resource modifier. Or a 0.5x modifier. Or a 10.0x modifier if you want a challenge.
My initial impression is this is the only difference between the difficulties anyways?
That's not what we want. We want scaleable AI difficulty.
There are additional differences besides resource multipliers, there's also the logic tree percentage.
I don't see what that could hurt. Maybe it would be fun to give the AI a large amount of resources and let the AI build a huge amount of ships so that you could smash them with Vasari starbases or multiple Missile Barrages. It sounds like a good idea. Of course, that won't substitute for the kind of challenge that playing it online against human players offers, but it might increase the fun factor in various ways.
LOL... I don't think I've ever seen DirtySanchezz not manage to plug MP in a single post of his.
Someone has to try to help maintain people's awareness that they do have another option besides just playing AI, and threads that involve the AI's ability to offer a challenge are the perfect thread for that sort of thing. It's right on point.
I'm not criticizing; just admiring your tenacity
Sounds like a very cool idea to me, as someone posted above, it may not be the end all, but it certainly sounds like a good place to start for ramping up the game to make it even more interesting than it already is.
