Fleet supply mod.

I'm unsure if this has been addressed; I've been looking and looking but I can't seem to find a working mod that just 'ups' the fleet supply (and number of capital ships) in the game. It seems as though they either aren't for entrenchment, or don't work with the latest update. I tried my hand at galaxy forge, but found that my skill where lacking. Would this be a relatively simple matter for one of the modders to assist me with? I'd be happy to aid you in whatever way I can with your own mod in exchange, or anything else.

So you want it for Entrenchment? What kind of numbers do you want? Caps only or fleet points also? Gimme specific numbers of what you want and I'll whip it up for you, it's pretty simple.

Oh thanks a ton man! Well I was thinking of just making everything 3 times what it was.

So I guess the research tree should go something like this:

Capital Ships

1st- 6

2nd- 9

3rd- 12

4th- 18

5th- 24

6th- 30

7th- 39

8th- 48

Fleet Capacity

1st- 750

2nd- 1200

3rd- 1650

4th- 2460

5th- 3270

6th- 4080

7th- 5040

8th- 6000

Thanks again man!

Hi Annatar11,

I've used your mod that you've made for SpookyU and it's amazing.  I was wondering if you would be able to do the same thing, but slightly different numbers for the Diplomacy expansion as well.  Also are you able to change the values on the logistic and tactical structures?  If it's possible, my brothers and I would really appreciate it.

Logistic

1st - 60

2nd - 90

3rd - 120

4th - 150

5th - 180

Tactical

4th - 175

Fleet

4th - 1600

Will this link work with entrenchment v1.05?

yeah it should, The planets and researches havenn't been changed between entrenchment and diplomacy.

the main differences between entrenchment nd diplomacy are in the EXTRA entitys for the envoys and pirates which are in the entity manifest, but the fleetcaps entitys are the same , and as far as the differences bewtween 1.041 and 1.05 they appear to be engine and numbers(affecting the individual ships) only, so yes it should work.

Thanks grunt and Harpo..  I did install it and it does work..  Can't wait to play it..  :D

I must be doing something wrong because everytime I attempt to make a change to the Cap/Fleet amounts, it never works! I am editing the research entities respectively and I assume that I am editing the corretct line in the file. I dont have acess to the files now but could one of you point me in the right directioin?

Scratch that, I just realized this works with Diplomacy too.

This mod should work with any version of any game (Sins, Entrench, Diplo) because these specific research files and have never changed since the game's release :)

Just note that if there's anyone trying to get it into the base Sins, you'll need to copy the entire GameInfo folder from the install to your mod folder, then overwrite with these. Entrenchment and Diplomacy use an improved modding system where only the changed files need to be in the mod folder.

Are you changing the scalars in gameplay.constants?

I'm looking at this in the file, currently:

fleetSupplyData-Small

fleetSupplyScalar 0.75

fleetSupplyData-Normal

fleetSupplyScalar 1.0

fleetSupplyData-Large

fleetSupplyScalar 1.25

This might do the trick for you.

walkercubed, just enable it under the other mod(s) that you want in the game's options/mods screen( note not for vanilla sins)

Sorry, I wasn't clear: The data I posted wasn't altered.  It was a straight copy out of the Forge Tools gameinfo gameplay.constants file.  I meant to imply "if you open up gameplay.constants in any version/mod, you should be able to find a series of constants like this.  My best guess is that altering these constants acts as a multiplier on supply points available, letting you change the fleet supply."

I tried to get this mod to load and work for my game, but found that it wasn't taking effect. How can I fix this?

Ya, you might want to consider also, the ability of the your computer to handle the new meshes, particles coming from each ships and depending the whether or not you have dynamic battle system on, your computer can slow down significantly
