Mod freezing issues

Hello all, I have a problem with freezing and crashing due to mods. I have experienced these crashes on multiple versions of multiple mods, but now it has gotten to a point where the game is relatively unplayable. In the past, the crashes only occured after about an hour and a half to two hours of playing. Wasn't that frustrating as I like to play at a slow pace and save regularly. However, when updated versions of these mods came out, I downloaded them, and now the crashes occur within ten minutes of gameplay.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm sounds strange when it is ingame and not while you are loading the mod from the mod options. Well, what are your computer specs? Wich version of sins do you use now and what mods? And do you know how to run the dev.exe?

One thing that often helps is lowering the graphics settings from "Highest" to "High"/"Medium" as the game has a silght flaw with the incredible amount of textures some mods can add.

As GruntMaster asked though, we need more information on your pc specs what mods you are using and what settings you're running the game on to really be able to help you.

I am using the Entrenchment expansion. The mods are: Sins of the 13th Tribe, Sins of a Galactic Empire, Star Wars Requiem, and a mod to raise the fleet capacity and cap ship capacity by a small amount. I have all of the latest updates for the actual games, and the mods as well. If the issue stems from the graphics settings being on Highest, then I have another problem on my hands. The problem is that when I go to change the settings, I change all of the settings to just High, everything seems fine and dandy. However, when I restart the game to make sure the settings have been saved, they have all reverted back to their original Highest settings. And finally, when I try to use the dev.exe, an error message occurs saying that "fmod.dll has not been found" and then the game stops working.

What dev.exe are you using?  the .dll usually means that the dev.exe doesn't work with your version of sins. The current verion of the dev.exe is found in your install folder. have ypu tried and remove the folder named pipeline effects in the mods folder. Sometimes it can cause errors for certain people (I am one of those people).
