Diplomacy crashes every time!

So I bought Diplomacy yesterday, and my first game crashed. I thought it was an isolated incident and rebooted just to be on the safe side.

But it's been crashing every time. It takes some time, maybe 30minutes to 1hour.

I have never had a problem with Sins or Entrenchment. If this continues I might just have to contact support and ask for a refund.

I am running Win7 64bit.

My friend i know what you are saying. Heck, spend a little time actually trying to find support at all. When you find such a link, let me know so i can get my money back also, i am rather tired of paying for something that will not work.

 

win 7 64bit also, mine worked fine until they launched the first patch.

Have faith.  Windows 7 is a new OS, and Sins wasn't designed for it.  There's bound to be issues for a little while.  As to support, these are in the back of the Vanilla Sins manual, and are likely your best bet:

Also, the devs are relatively good about being active on these forums, so they may even already know about this, or will see it soon.

I will do that Kryo.

However, I was badly hit by that Trojan.Fake5 issue Bit Defender had today. Man what a mess! The result was I now have to reinstall Win7.

Maybe the format and reinstall will help my issue. I will contact support if it doesnt.

 

BTW, will Elemental of Magic support 64 bits? I do hope so.

This is happening to me too.  Windows 7 Ultimate x64 + Sins Diplomacy Large Maps.  If the game is exceeding allocated memory space, then iron clad has a big problem to fix.

my sins diplomacy is crashing too, i have to restart my pc as it freezes up, im running win 7 32-bit, i have no problems at all with vanilla sins and entrenchment.

anyone else having this problem and fixed it?

I don't need to restart, but it does like to go to a black screen which forces me to go to the task manager... tisk tisk...

maybe there is an issue with win 7,  I have only had crashes pre launch on beta....... hang in there people and please contact support so they can fix the issue evidence the desyncing issue  :)

Make sure yall email support. They cant fix it if no one tells them about it. Give a bit of time and they will get back to you. Till then head back to Entrechment.



Also I have Win7 64-bit and dont have a problem running Diplomacy. So it could of been a bad download for yall. If you want try uninstalling everything deleting all the leftover folders and reinstalling.

Would you care to outline what we should tell support so that we can be as helpful as possible?  It seems like the issue should be well known by now.  It seems to happen on all Windows 7 Ultimate x64 operating systems...

As what to email them,


-Game version

-System specs

-Game graphic settings

-Any Minidump files that are generated with the crash

-Details on where it crashed, how it crashed.

Yep same issue here, got diplomacy today and it crashes about 45 minutes into the game every game, no error message.

 

On windows 7 64bit home premium

geforce gtx 280m graphics card

intel i7 processor Q720

4gb ram

 

Doesn't appear to be a minidump, reinstalled the game once already, had no effect on the problem, can play the original sins and entrenchment just fine though.
