A lot of the experienced players do provide replays for the various factions. I actually made one available for Vasari in the last version of the game that demonstrated a "speed run" against the unfair AI. Unfortunately, each successive patch invalidates old replays, so you have to find replays for this version of the game.
What I can say is that many of the basics do carry over from faction to faction. Everyone has a flak frigate, for instance, and even though they're different they stil fulfill the same role. In that respect, you should be able to just pick up Vasari and once you learn their basic unit types your experience with TEC will carry over.
