first the backstory: sins is only really playable on my desktop, on which i cannot currently access the internet (no open wifi). so i installed sins on my laptop to be able to get updates moved to my desktop. however, the problem is that i cant archive it on my laptop to get it on my desktop because the desktop cant access the internet to run impulse. so i copy/pasted the entire sins directory from the laptop to the desktop, but now sins (and this is on the desktop) is asking me to activate sins whenever i try to play it. the only problem is that in order to activate it, i need to have access to the internet. is there anything i can do to fix this that doesnt include wiping out the sins directory on the desktop and reinstalling?

i've already sent in the activation email to [email protected] (i hope that was the correct address), but it wouldnt include the version number and the sigpath line was cropped, so i dont know if it will solve anything.

the version i bought was the boxed retail that installed sins v1.16
