[MOD WIP] Sins of Humanity Dip 1.011 (beta testers)

Time for getting some other input is here. As of now I am just looking for people with some modding experience to help work out some details. Windows Live Sync or Dropbox for new files and a general knowledge of file placement.

What I really need is someone experienced in ability creation.

Whats New

3 new races. As of now they are more or less copies of existing races.

  • TEC ---> F.O.E. Federation of Earth
  • Advent ---> Bentuzi
  • Vasari ---> Empire

Most or all the files are in place for the new races but will modify the stats as I get more models and ideas. 8 - 10 HQ pictures for each race.

Added binary planets and planets with moons at almost 100 different celestial bodies and almost 100 different reworked planet bonuses.

New soundtrack. IMHO it's simply awesome. Need more songs though.

New voice overs for TEC shared with FOE

4 classes of Starbases (just added).

Reworked research adding more levels and new research options.

 

I am pretty capable of modding, artwork sound editing. I am quickly learning modeling and texturing but the abilities have me baffled. Every time I try I get errors.  x_x X(  

Zero errors with the DEV startup now and can hook up anyone interested in helping out.

Sounds cool, however with that amount of extra information on diplomacy wont you reach the 2gb hard limit rather on the fast side (even with TSOP?)

lol I got all excited. Though you had it up and finished xD. Good work tho, dunno how my comp will complain about the 6 races yet tho =p but it runs DS pretty well so it shouldn't be so bad(especially with opti intigrated.) Speaking of DS think you could ask to use their reworked mines? cuts the amount to about a 4th but makes them a little more powerful, usually I can cruse right through a mine field and barely get scratched in the normal game, think it would be a nice add-on to this when you finish. Anyway, looking forward to it =O

Already done the mines to grav well size. Huge grav well gets 75, normal is 50 and small is 30 and they will be more powerful. Soon to be hidden from view as well.

As it stands now it plays very good on my machine. There are a few mods out with 6 races and more planets. The trick is to use the same textures, they are the largest files in the game. As I add models I want to reduce poly counts from other models. The more files that get optimized, the more I add. With the reduced fighter squads and the reduced cargo ships it plays better than the original.

Here is TEC Fleet Command which everyone has but is unused by the game.

EDIT: Same mesh as Broadcast Center

Every race has one plus an unused market. More screenshots coming.

Concept Stage

This is a once only, comes at game start and will transfer an Admiral making the the ship the Flagship of the fleet. This ship will have unlimited finest hour. I need to work out the details. Will be movable as well.

8C Ya you are correct. I added the wrong mesh. Been a while since I zoomed the BC. The PlanetModule_Tech_OrbitalFleetCommandCenter.mesh is in the mesh folder and unused, I surpised its the same damn thing. I will check the other races out ASAP.

Here is the unused PlanetModule_TechOrbitalMarket.mesh. Hopefully I didn't miss this somewhere.
