Different Travel abilities

PhaseGate Ability on Stars and planets - group teleportation - and wormhole stabilizers!

ive tried a lot of different combination for phase gate ability on planet and stars... but nothing.

does any one have an idea of how to get this done... i see the ability on the planet but it does nothing.

Edit:

and while i'm at it - is there anywhere i can chan phase travel speed and chargeup rate except through research?

What do you mean by "see it" and "does nothing"? Is see it in the HUD or that the buff is applied to it but nothing happens? Is "does nothing", that it doesn't apply the buff, the buff doesn't do anything or something third?

I have had a stargate  abiltiy on planets and stars but you are correct that it doenst work properly .  As the stock abiltiy is made to function on a ship or structure.

then maybe the last way out then is to have it spawn a frigate or something like it who then can apply the yhe ability :andrew:

i have been fooling around with some group teleportation, again - can't make it work. is there anything like it out there or does anyone know a way that might would work??

Try combining the phase gate ability with something that increases the phase travel speed to near infinite. Make sure whatever is broadcasting the ability leaves last though.

couldn't you spawn an invulnerable, capturable phase gate that doesn't take up any slots to replicate the effect?

i have thought about it and i'm already on it - great minds think alike i guess :)

new idea. wormhole stabilizers. remove it as a research, and at it as a starbese upgrade, make it affect targets in range/GW and puff, now u can only do one way wormhole travel unless you are able to set up a new base on the other side, makes you think twize before traveling - and makes whats on the other side a hole lot more interesting! :D

since im still very rook to modding does anyone know if it can be done??

i think i know why yhe phase gate ability wont work when it is set directly to a planet. the ability is made to affect only the player whu uses it, and since planets are ownerless to begin  with no one can use it! :rolleyes:  (you live you learn)
