Boo a price drop!

Not for everybody else, but for me.  I just bought this on Friday for $40 since I waited and waited for a price drop and it never came.  Sucks for me, I'm out twenty bucks.  Just my luck a few days after I buy it, it finally goes on sale.

If they had some awesome customer service here on Impulse, they might give me a free gift card for $5 or $10 bucks just so I don't feel like such a chump for having spent $40.

I can dream. . .

yep!

Stardock is full of greedy capitalists.  expect them to be greedy and stuff.

At least your saving $10 on rebellion, and you spent $20 less than I did on this game.  worth every penny, and no day one DLC.

Well damn, I bough Halo for $50 years ago, but I just saw it used at Gamestop for $5. I want my $45 back.

I had the same thing happen to me with Dragon Age Origins awhile back. I purchased it one day and the next day, it went on sale offering the expansion for free. I emailed Stardock and they made things right. Drop them an email...you may be surprised.

Did you check with customer service or hope the CS happy folks would be prowling the forums looking to pass out refunds?  :)

Yup - it's always best to shoot an email off and see if you find a sympathetic ear.  Beats venting about it on a message board anyway and tends to be much more effective.  [email protected] - just explain what happened and ask if they are willing to refund the difference.  They certainly don't have to, but I've found Stardock to be quite reasonable in the past.  Anyway, worst case you are out the 2 minutes it took to craft and send the email.  Best case, you just saved $20.

That would be pretty nice of them.  I bet that so few people ask for a price adjustment that it doesn't hurt them too much and that doing it is worth the good will generated.

Yes send off an email only takes a few minutes at most and you might get lucky.
