HOW TO WATCH

For now, you need VLC or some other media player that can play AVCHD.
In VLC, Go to File -> Open Network Stream... and paste the mp4 URL in there.
WHY
For fun, and to show the people with low-end computers or hesitation to buy Rebellion just how COOL it is. 
I tried to make the action somewhat cinematic, so that the viewer can enjoy watching me play but also to show off the cool ships. Early on the video, I hover over some of the new abilities and techs, and deliberately take my time so you can read the text (just pause the video if you want more time to digest it).

Captured at full fidelity 1920x1080 with all game detail settings maxed, Anti-Aliasing maxed, Anisotropic Filtering maxed. Mostly solid 53 - 60 fps rendering WHILE frapsing. The original FRAPS output video was a whopping 26 GB!!! AVCHD compressed it down to 1.6 GB without making it ugly. Yay!
It took me nearly two days to upload this on my terrible connection. I got an Amazon S3 account and used the open source S3 Upload program to push the file in 5 MB chunks, with my Internet connection crapping out about 50 times along the way, so I kept having to resume the upload at the start of the nearest chunk. I knew if I didn't use multi-part uploads I'd never get it uploaded and intact.
There are occasionally some black frames in the end result video; sorry about that. They are relatively short-lived, so if your video goes black, it should only be for a couple frames and then it's back. Also, try turning up your brightness/contrast if the Titan at the start of the video looks too dark or you can't easily distinguish the different shades of gray. The original fidelity rendering in the game is MUCH better at showing the shades of gray (similar to what you see in the SOASE homepage and the trailers), but the AVCHD encoding glossed over some of the more subtle tones. You should be able to turn up contrast and/or brightness in VLC itself.
