I'm not sure if you would need to change the .mesh versions or not, I've never done this kind of thing.
To change the models, first make a mod in your mod folder...
"Tec Bomber Mod"
inside that folder, create 3 folders...
"Textures"
"GameInfo"
"Mesh"
Now, if you have the reference files, find FighterTechBomber.entity...
Look for a line near the bottom that says something about the mesh, I don't have a converted file on my pc right now, so I don't know exactly what it says...
change "SupportShip_TechBomber.mesh" to whatever the name of the new mesh is...
Then, take the textures for the new mesh and put them into the Textures folder, take the mesh and put it into the Mesh folder, and select the mod from the mods menu in-game...
