Possible Bug - Targeting issue

I have been experiencing some Target issue, most notable with TEC Loyalist Titan, when I jump into an enemy gravity well. with trade ships, the Titan will use the lasers and target them instead of combat ships\structures.  I can understand this when they are the only thing in range, but when it is target a defense platform and a trade ship comes into range, the next laser strike will be on it, and not the defense platform.

You might have noticed that the TEC Loyalist Titan cannot target it's lasers to the side properly, in the same way most weapons on the Loyalist Titan have a limited cone of fire. The Titan works similar to the Illuminator or Adjudicator in the way that you best put in in the middle of battle so it can shoot to all sides. The Loyalist Titan is also the best suited for this kind of tactics, with the self repair and AOE pain attack. What you experienced may just have been your Titan facing the wrong way to use its lasers, as the Loyalist Titan likes to show it's broadside to the enemy it is currently actively targetting.

If you look close at the Rebel titan it has most weapons facing forward and is better suited to attack from one side. Also the Advent titans have a similar setup as the TEC ones (the Loyalist Titan shoots all around, the Rebel Titan has most weapons facing forward). This difference in setup seems to be a nice way of setting the Titans apart and kind of accentuates their role.

I understand the firing arcs of the ships, but that wasn't what was happening, so let me give this another try.

 

1. Phase Jump into Enemy gravity well, have TEC Loyalist Titan target SB, Titan and fleet move into range and fire.

2. Titan Lasers target\fire on defense turret.

3. Trade ship moves into range, lasers target\fire on trade ship.

4. Trade ship is destroyed\moves out of range.

5. Titan lasers resume target\fire on defense turret.

 

Step 3 shouldn't happen, the trade ship is a non-combative, the Titan should have kept the lasers on the defensive turret.
