Does the Vasari AI build Sivuskras Ruiners?

It hadn't dawned on me until one appeared on one of the loading screens, but has anyone seen these built?

The old Vasari ai would even attack you in your wells with these, what changed?

I remember they used to send a single one by itself into hostile gravity wells, only to die 20 seconds later.
