Possible Diplomacy bug, or am I just confused.

A friend and I were having a great game against several AI opponents. Everyone was at about 25% towards diplomacy victory. Then, suddenly out of nowhere, one team won diplomacy. When I continued the game, I saw that their diplomacy points were 1500/75. Is this some kind of horrendous bug? Or am I missing something with how diplomacy works?

We did try reloading from the last save, and the same thing happened again.

There is something wrong with the Diplomatic Victory points. Someone else mentioned this about a month ago as well. The dev's stated that they are working on it.

Yes, I did.

This goes as far back as 0.76, I was playing as Advent with my ally. I accepted a pact w/ my ally, then BOOM! I got an instant diplomatic victory with hundreds of points. I went back to autosave, and it did happen again.

Strange that the bug is still present.

We could use a save game that replicates this under v1.031.  If you have one under your autosaves, could you please zip it up and send it to us at [email protected]?

I think the bigger challenge will be to find someone that plays with diplomatic victory. ;)
