Depends on what you're fighting. You have to learn the counter system, there is no one ship that is always good in every situation.

That said, as the TEC you have particularly strong LRFs and the best repair cruiser. Generally I use corvettes for early expansion, LRFs, flak and repair cruisers mid game, and most people tend to go to carriers late game.

what are LRF? and which repair cruiser? can you give me the names of all the ships your talking about. Sorry for the noobness, i only played like 4 times so far. Also what % of what do you usually like to get? Like what ratios? more of the cheap stuff i am guessing.

It seems nowadays if you are TEC or Advent, it is preferable to only use two units in the early game: Light Frigates (Cobalts) and corvettes. This is because it is cheap and counters everything well. Usually these are build in 50/50 ratio at the start, then changes to counter what your opponent has. The goal is to overwhelm your opponent in low tech stuff quickly. This kind of fleet is good against a human player but bad against AI.
