I suggested a course of action and gave specific reasons for it, and even prefaced it with an understanding you might take offense to it. Then I followed it up with a discussion of game specific observations in response to the last comment in the thread that actually referenced the game. You responded with insults and threats.
People get so upset at the suggestion that they don't deserve a hand out of other people's money. I'm sure your situation and your pain are real and difficult to live with. I'm saying it's going to get a lot harder and more painful when the takers outnumber the producers enough to collapse the system. Sorry that offends you.
Your so-called suggested course of action is nothing more than an insult to people with disabilities. You say ' Get a job ' like it is some easy thing to do. Especially considering the current economy your idea is a poor joke. If perfectly healthy and qualified people are struggling to find work then someone like me has no chance due to health and lack of work experience.
After I lost my last job in April 2007 ( I was let go because I could not physically handle my job anymore ), I worked with Vocational Rehabilitation for TWO years in an attempt of re-gaining employment. I went through 2 surgeries on my knees and multiple rounds of physical therapy. It made no difference - as soon as I mentioned I would need special accommodations a possible employer lost interest. That is why I ended up applying for SSI in 2009. I wanted to work again but the door was slammed in my face. I have no other option - especially considering multiple of my conditions get progressively worse over time.
Some people would say ' Isn't there a law against that? Employers aren't supposed to discriminate against disabled people ?' - well it happens anyways. All the interviewer has to do is use any other justification to not hire you and it is virtually impossible to prove that they did it.
You just don't understand the real world.
Besides if the system crashes like you seem to be predicting then having a job isn't going to matter much anyways because unemployment would skyrocket, there would be rioting in the streets, looting on a massive scale, violent attacks on neighbors for resources, etc etc - You are talking apocalyptic collapse that would basically destroy human civilization as we know it.
