Is 5 cores the limit for the AI?

  • Processor: 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5 Processor or Equivalent 

I was just wondering if the AI will be only utilizing up to 5 cores or will it utilize more if you have an I7?

ummm the I5-7 is not the number of cores in your system that is basically the name of the processor. I suggest Google fooing for more info.

An Intel I5 chip can have either 2 or 4 cores (supporting 4 or 8 threads) and the I7s have 4 cores (8 threads). I have an I7 and GC3 uses all 8 threads.

Does anyone have an explanation why AMD processors seem to not be using all of their cores with GC3?  Several people have said this on various threads in which performance was discussed.  My AMD FX8320 with Win8.1 is running only 6 of 8 cores with G3.  If I multitask during soak, my web browser seems to be using the other cores.
