A "Words to live by" thread.........again.

I'll start this off again....

"You may be only one person in the entire world, but if you're really lucky you might be the entire world to one person."

.....now, follow this example, and please keep it nice.

I watched the moon rise tonight,
it has two eyes a nose and a mouth and it's smiling.

Balancing your budget in a nut shell.

Prioritize a list of expenses from most
important at the top of the list to least important
at the bottom of the list. Things at the bottom of the list
must be reduced or eliminated.

Example 1)
Using two fans I can keep the house between 70 degrees
and 75 degrees on an average summer day; Or I can
increase my electric bill 90% by running the air conditioner
and keep the house at 78 degrees.

Example 2)
I can buy one 10 oz. cup of coffee for $4.00,
or I can go to the store and buy a $4.00 can of coffee
that makes 54 ten oz. cups of coffee.

Other things that can be done include.

Buy an energy efficient refrigerator, this can be
the next biggest cost per month next to air conditioning.

Buy a water saving shower head and take one
shower per day in the evening; you will go to bed clean
and wake up clean.
Caution, you might have a bad hair day; which can
be eliminated by shaving your head.

And finally, Suave does what they're's does for a lot less.

You can't always get what you want. But if you try sometimes you get what you need.

This above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.

Paper junk mail that comes to your real mail box and front door:

You don't order it but you get free phone books, flyers, business cards,
catalogs, coupons, magazines, newspapers and so on.
I get so much every week that I have to get rid of it every week or I would
be swimming in it. Multiply that times the millions and millions of people
who also get this stuff and in one year you could probably pile it up
into deep space.
How much energy does it take to produce this stuff, ship it to us,
send it to be recycled or send it to the dump?
How much material is used to produce this stuff?
Recently I received a free preview issue of a magazine that I did not order.
In this magazine there was an article about saving the planet.
If you want to save the planet, it seems like the first thing you should do
is put an end to all this Junk mail.
If you can't accomplish that then I don't want to hear any more about saving the planet.

you've been in way to long.

And by the way Joe,
In your last man standing fantasy,
Ted Nugent would be that man,
and not because he owns precious coins.

Haste makes waste.
A stitch in time saves nine.
Slow and steady wins the race.
If it wasn't for bankers none of us would own a home.
No matter how many times I cut it, it is still to short.
Measure twice cut once.

I never bet more then I can afford to lose.

When playing cards I always call the bluff,
and let the chips fall where they may.
There is always more then one solution to any problem.

The rope a dope:
You set a trap for someone, they walk into it and do
exactly what you want them to do, and then they
get tired and fall down.

The double rope a dope:
You pretend to walk into someone's trap
and pretend to get tired. They let their guard down
and you knock them out.
