How to create start point in the Gal Civ 4 map editor

I am having some trouble understanding the Gal Civ 4 map editor. Does anyone know how to create a start point in the map editor. I clicked every menu in the map editor all I saw was solar systems, resources, and enemy NPCs. I cannot find start points. But when I tried to save my map a little red flag said I need to create at least one start point. Indicating that the option is there but the button to do it is hidden.

There is no start point tool in the palette, which is why you cannot find it. A start is a property of a star system rather than its own object.

Place the system first, then click it and use the Start section of the inspector: "Set as Starting System", then pick the player number you want there.

The other thing that will catch you is that the save check wants two starts, not one. Set player 1 and player 2 and the flag clears.
