Explorer keeps crashing at start rebooting after applying skin

Windows 11 Enterprise 24H2 (26100.ge_release.240331-1435)
WindowBlinds 11.07 (024 x64 - Windows 11 Edition) - 64 bit OS

I downloaded the latest version through steam (both the opt-in beta and normal in seperate tries)
I apply a skin, it can be any skin, and it works fine until i reboot the computer. When I start the computer explorer keeps crashing, I need to locate WB11 folder, open the application and remove the skin/set default skin back for it to start working again.
I really want to keep using this software, but it is causing this problem and it's too troublesome

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Few questions.

  1. Any reason you are not updating to latest Windows 11 Enterprise? From what I know the latest Windows 11 Enterprise is at:  Windows 11 version 24H2 (Enterprise edition) is OS Build 26100.9550, released on September 22, 2026. 
  2. Do you have antivirus such as ESET, that have HIPS turn on? If you do, please refer to this guide: https://support.stardock.com/space/SHC/1326579735/WindowBlinds+states+that+“WindowBlinds+is+not+installed+correctly+on+this+PC".

Perhaps, look at your internal security setup that control your system having HIPS turn on.

Also, please do check you system files.

Please try the following:

-For Win10/11 Users: Open the Start Screen, and type 'cmd'. Right-click on the search result and select 'Run as administrator' from below.

-Type: sfc /scannow

-Wait for the scan to complete (this can take several minutes)

If the SFC finds errors, but cannot fix them, please also run the following command in the same command prompt window:

dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

The above command should assist with replacing any damaged or problematic system files. Please note, however, since it may require restoring certain files, this process can take some time and you will need to be patient until it has completed.
