Clear Type

Problem enabling clear type

Like many of us I have just recently purchased an LCD for my computer. I have tried to enable Clear Type in the Performance section of Window Blinds but I cannot see any difference. Has anyone else experienced this and does anyone have a solution?

I have a lappy with clear type enabled. It does make the text much nicer to read but I think that is all. I didn't have any problems with it.

ClearType font smoothing is a function of Windows, not WindowBlinds. WindowBlinds can apparently take advantage of cleartype to improve performance, but you have to enable it in Windows first.

Open your Display Properties and click on the Appearance tab. Then click the Effects button. On the dialog window that opens, check the second checkbox (labeled "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts") and select ClearType from the drop-down menu.
