Whenever I logon to my computer since installing the lastest versionsof stardock, my taskbar completely freezes. The only way to release it is to kill sdmcp.exe from the task manager. The sesktop responds properlyand no other program seems tobe affected. Any help will be appreciated.

Help us help you.......... Stardock is a company that makes software. There is no program called Stardock, so what did you install?

You really need to be specific......... ObjectDesktop is a suite of programs. WindowBlinds, DesktopX, RightClick, Enhanced Dialog, IconPackager, and many others are all part of ObjectDesktop..........Telling us you had ObjectDesktop installed installed is no more helpful than saying you had Stardock installed.

Sorry spectre8, it's been a really busy weekend for me, or I would have responded sooner. I'm really surprised noone has jumped in to try to figure this out.
I'm afraid I'm not going to be much help..... I don't use the Windows taskbar (haven't for years). But I'll try my best.
You say after installing WindowBlinds, your taskbar locked up, and killing sdmcp.exe cleared the problem, but as far I know, WB doesn't use sdmcp... That would explain why removing WB didn't clear the problem.
Did you install anything else? Perhaps you should list your system specs also.
