Will there be a demo for non-paying curious people

Hi. Will there be a demo for those of us who don't normally like 4X games but are really interested? I'm so tempted to pay for Gal Civ, but I don't want to buy it then quit playing it in a week because it's not something I like.
I've been checking out this site since seeing news posted on the strategy games newsgroup. Keep up the great work.

I am pretty sure there is going to be a demo, just don't really have an idea of when that will be.

Yeah. I don't think there's a game Stardock's put out that dosen't get a demo put up on Download.com (amongst other sites). However, that's a way's off, the the game's still in its early beta stages.
