Phase Jump Bug / Auto Jump Bug

I wonder if its new, but...
sometimes...after 2 or 3 hours gameplay the ships dont jump.
they try to fly the normal way without phase jump...
Its very easy to handle...just jump from planet to planet manually, but the AI is really really slow...they need from system to system nearly 1 hour with Capital Ships...

anyone noticed that bug before?

I haven't experienced that, but I experienced after a few hours on a large game that you cant move your ships within a grav well itself no matter how many times you click the movement button, or click on a space in the grav well. They will move to other objects if you click on them.

hmm...i know what u mean...i thought this was only a memory problem of myself...sometimes i click and a sec later the click was make...

i think the game is filling the memories with "garbage" like post processing actions...

or the autosave can be that problem...too much savegames...

i have 4 gb ram...in a large galaxy with all planets under my control and maximum fleet size it slows down my pc...and then...only object to object navigation...nothing else...no movement in gravity well...no multiple jump command....

its beta...not perfect^^

What are you talking about, jump from planet to planet manually? How is that different from your "auto jump"? You aren't making sense.

Others have reported trouble with ships moving at sublight between planets as well. If you have any saves or replays that demonstrate/reproduce this, send them to [email protected].

Let me see if I'm understanding you:

Your ships are at planet "A", and you order them to go to planet "D", which can only be reached by the following phase chain connection:

A < - > B < - > C < - > D

When you give the order to go to D, they travel through the phase lane to "B", and then go straight for D without bothering to phase jump? Or do they just stop at B and wait?

I almost reported a similar bug today but then I realized that planet C in the chain had a phase inhibitor in it, and the AI wasn't moving the ships at all. Instead of going as far as possible until hitting the inhibitor, it just refused the orders without any feedback. Doi on my part.

But maybe something still to look into?
