2vs2 replay, EPIC game 2 hours

Read inside for more details.

Its a 2 vs 2 me (Dutch) and Nyquist versus Soulsinger and P5y

Link: http://rapidshare.com/files/59322964/good.record.html

It was the map with a total of 8 "real" planets plus an iceworld and a lava world.

Lots of big battles in this one, very tactical game this was.

Here is what happens, so you know what to watch for when looking at the replay:

First 10 minutes is just exploring and building up.

10mins: Nyquist makes a move for the dead asteroid near Soulsinger, but is forced to retreat, Soulsinger reinforces the area.

15mins: Soul and p5y move for the ice planet.

17mins: Nyquist moves again for the dead asteroid, focing Soul to respond.

22mins: P5y not happy with his ally (its fun to read there whispers) also he starts chatting in public and doesnt notice, giving me and Nyquist vital info on there plans.

30mins: P5y and Soul plan to attack my dead asteroid, but is fortified with 10 hangers, p5y scouts and nearly "hist" himself (watch the chat from P5y at 30min20 to get it)

32mins: We attack their iceworld to deny them crystal recources, attack goes well.

36mins: P5y and Soul counterattack, first big battle, total of 5 cap ships.

38mins: P and S retreat to the sun

40mins: Battle at the sun, my capitals are out of range for most of the time.

43mins: P and S retreat again

53mins: Nquist attacks the dead asteroid, I follow (tactical mistake?)

57mins: Large battle at the dead asteroid, Soul loses a capital and reatreat to the sun, a few mins later i follow. Small battle here. Soul and i both loose a capital.

1hour17: Me and Nyquist head again for the ice world, but P and S both go for NYquists homeworld, would cost us dearly later.

1:25 We moved back to the dead asteroid infront of Nyquist homeworld to blockade them in. A standoff ensues.

1:36 We send in everything, biggest battle of the game 8 capitals versus 6 capitals.

1:40 We destroyed the fleet, with some losses, we decide to move back to take out P5y homeworld.

Now it starts to end, without a homeworld Nyquist is doomed as his colony's are taken out at 1:55 we loose.

Capital kills:
Dutch 5
Nyquist 6
Soulsinger 4
P5y 3

I think our mistake was to go for the iceworld and leaving Nyquists world open.

That was a really epic game and fun to watch tho we were all making terrible mistakes that would have you pulling your hair out if you spectated it. I think overall Nyc and Dutch had the better tactics and movement. They coordinated their fleets really well and doubled alot of our caps whereelse soul and I were struggling to find cohesion at the start and we were wasting alot of our units against superior numbers. However we were more organised in our overall strategy of attaining the important ice planet and forcing Nyc and Dutches hand and eventually soul started to talk more   . A Few notes about my gameplay , I made a crappy mistake not taking out the akkan and instead focusing on the kol   . I never even captured my dead asteroid at the start   , this was to save anti-matter to grab the artic   . I think I was typing more then playing   . Soul was reading more then playing   . This is really good game to watch to see how every single early unit is used in Sins , completely back and forth game and almost everything that can happen in Sins happened in this game.

That was a good game but one thing that was bugging me, was that P5yy told his ally (Soulsinger) what to do all the time with everything.
I do agree that there should be teamwork, but while watching the replay i flet that it was P5yy that played it sorta alone

I am gonna have to agree with Multi here. P5yy's commentary on what to do with his allies fleets was near painful to watch. Come on man, you called your ALLY stupid(meanwhile talking to all in chat)! Other than that I just watched from the other side, good tactics, Dead asteroids were still useful on this map, especially when laden with defenses. Surprised nobody took the time to snag the Volcano planet. Voice chat like Vent or TS on this game would be pretty nice, and very uneven at times, so you would not have to type everything out. I was surprised but the number of cap ships in this game. pretty impressive for just 2 hours to have a cap ship fight of the sizes in this one. Or at least I thought so.

Looked like a fun game!

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE that it records what is typed. Makes for such good forum discussion / drama.

Three cheers for accountability!
