shall we do what pacov suggested and try to get more 'newbs' to post on this thread if they are interested. if you see newbs online then direct them here? Not sure if it would work as well but not much we have to lose in trying, i think...
heya. after writing this i thought: hum... we actually need 2 noobs per coach as we better get 2v2s that 1v1s. there are other variation of that which are possible eg 2 newbie coached by 2 coaches or 1 newbie + 1 coach playing in the tourney etc... I think there are actually few newbies there but they are intimidated to get in any games with any of you guys (or myself) I know i personnaly havent been very gentle with newbies :) ^^ But newbies are
Hi folks, here is a proposal I have for you: be a coach Here is how it works: identify 8 newbies identify 8 coaches the coaches are going to train the newbies for 1 month. 2 weeks. Playing from time to time with them, commenting on replays etc... at the end of the two weeks we hold a tournament between the newbies :) the winner takes 50 usd. 25 usd goes to the newbie and 25 usd to the coach. i am h

If possible, I'll open up a the new tourney thread tomorrow with the prize amounts, etc. I think we'll still have a 2nd place prize of $10 per person, but not sure about the 1st place prize, yet. I'll start reaching out to SD in the near future to see if they will be willing to sponsor some future tournaments.
let me know if you need a
tourney is up btw: http://www.jeesports.com/tournament/PC/Demigod/41/2v2-Demigod-Cash-Tourney-1/home pacov, i did record myself while creating the tourney. i will upload the vid when i am back home. i think we will need to wait until after the tourney to see that/if everythg has worked fine :-)
Important note to all btw: make sure you adjust your time zone as per http://www.jeelounge.com/l_forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=21 we used to display all times in GMT. Now there are based on your local time.
okay. setting up the tourney in few minutes. i assume all matches are best of 1 game as before.
okay i am back, my answer there is: hi. the uneven # teams things is a "bug" that our guys will be fixing. i like swiss style because it allows teams to play several matches. the brackets looks like http://www.screencast.com/users/Awillys/folders/Jing/media/6e2460af-4ccc-4143-a666-72de11a9df41 each team play
not much time to post but basically i responded: http://www.jeelounge.com/l_forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=19
The gamer Journal is on your lounge under e-Sports > Gamer Journal Your gamer journal allows you to keep private notes on: - players - teams - clans It is your personal handbook where you can securely keep info and strategies on players, teams and clans. Or you may allow friends, teammates to see it. You decide Check out
I am not sure if i have a team actually! I'll check online.
Thanks for the update Pacov.
Thanks for high jacking this thread with not so productive discussions. If we really want to achieve something (do we?) we should focus and compromise. This is a small community and iof we start being too picky then we won't get anything done i feel. Some people are not prepared to play their usual teammates which i can understand to a certain. However the situation is such that if we want to make smthg interesting we'll need to split up a bit. here are the opt
also - my take is that we really should form 3 person teams for a 2v2 league (I think 4 people per team is over the top, tbh).
Yeap you right. 3 persons per team for a 2v2 league should be good. each playweek would be 3 match of 2v2 with winning condition best of 1.
yes this requires a static team. so people must have like 3-5 reliable players for the whole season. ah... so a team would be 3-5 folks that would play in 2v2's... that the idea? So if I'm not free one night, someone could take my place?
yes that is exactly the idea. so if you not free someone else can take over. also, as there could be a combi of 2v2s and 3v3s having 2 players extra is safer i think
I'm on board for whatever... this does require having a static team, though?
yes this requires a static team. so people must have like 3-5 reliable players for the whole season. i think we can leave it opened ie you can recruit new players during the season but not one that is or was with another team in that same season. transfers of existing players are done at the end of the season :-)
that's possible but not in season one we can create the structure we want and promotion relegation are automated
Hi there. I wouldnt put 1v1 in the match strycture because i think it's broken. trust me i played a lot of 1v1. a combination of 2v2 and 3v3 could be fun. That means the team need at least 3-5 players to ensure someone is available. changing rosters could also be allowed. instead of the regular 1 match of 2v2 with Bo3 we could have 3 * 1 match of 2v2 with Bo1 allowing teams to change roster between games depending on results. or maybe we say the rosters should
Pacov and others. I was juts thinking, we can easily (on JeeSports) set up a league. It could be round robin, double round robin and have playoffs at the end (or not). The other thing we can do with the structure is to have a league and a sub league. Initially everybody would be on the lowest level league. perhaps split into two divisions. At the end of the first season, promotion and relegation would occur (automatically on jeesports). that would allow som

Maybe you would have beat us last tournament too, if you didn't get stuck with Zen playing Rook in the second game
Thanks folks. Looks like I should watch that replay. i cant remember it :)
Uploaded our tourney replays: http://www.jeeplays.com/replay/search/1/general_replays
hi there. i will upload my replays sometimes this evening. something went weird with the matches reporting page and i cant figure it out. I reproduced the error only by doing something very strange. the replays will have to be uploaded invividually on jeeplays.com rather than on the match detais page of jeesports as usual. i am also willing to set up a small tourney to test the script perhaps this weekend. i'll create a tourney
there are still only 4 teams registered. let us know if you need help setting up your team and signing up for the tourney.
