As I have visited different blog sites and had other people comment on some of mine, I have noticed folks with a wide range of relationships - some good, some bad, some close, some long-distance. And among them I have seen an equally wide range of emotions over those relationships - some happily in love and others so sad it makes me want to cry. So what makes a good r

Congratulations to my friends (they know who they are so I won't embarrass them by naming names) who have decided to have a commitment ceremony and set a date for later this year. It couldn't happen to a nicer couple and I'm very happy for you both!! You make a terrific couple and solidifying your relationship in this way will only enrich it. May you both share happin
Don't think Tom Jones ever did it. But a group known as The Foundations made it a hit.
Ever hear a song and no matter how hard you try, you just can't seem to get it out of your mind? That's what's happening with me right now. A couple nights ago "There's Something About Mary" aired on one of the cable networks. It had been quite some time since I'd seen it and I happened to catch the tail end of it, including the main song that played over th
You said he has free medical? Is it state provided, like Medicaid, because he cannot afford insurance on his own or something? If so, why not contact the state who has issued it to him and report him. Tell them what he is doing. They ought to be able to easily enough substantiate your truthfulness in the matter by pulling the various "claims" he has filed and bills he has paid for the same "ailment" over and over and over again. As hardworking taxpayer
Not really looking for comments from anyone, though if someone happens to reply, that is fine, too. I am mostly just venting because I need to and this is a nice way to preserve my thoughts. I am sick to death of people who say they are going to do something, then don't do it, but then can't understand why someone gets upset with them!!! How much common s
Hmph. Okay then. That's a rather interesting response, but I respect your position and thank you for your reply.
So even if you hated every minute of teaching kindergarten, you would not feel somewhat fulfilled later on when the children actually learned something OR when one of them (or more) came back years later and said what an impact you made on their lives? Another instance...I have a friend who dislikes a large majority of her job because it involves government subsidies and she sees a lot of people taking advantage of the system. But the time it
Would you be willing to do something very unsatisfying (for example, cleaning toilets) for five years if you were certain that the experience would afterwards bring you a deep sense of personal fulfillment for the rest of your life? I think I would, depending, of course, on what the task was I was doing. I think that many people in this world go to work in ve
There seems to be evidence that the Bush administration had some knowledge of 9/11 before the fact. So he should be careful in using something like this to his advantage. It could well backfire and perhaps that's why he has not used it to date. Second, any president would have handled the situation in a similar manner. If they could not, they should not be in the position of Commander-in-Chief. We have had many tragedies in recent years and e
Here's something to think about... If you could spend one year in perfect happiness, but afterward would remember nothing of the experience, would you do it? If so, why? And if not, why not? Anyone want to converse on this topic?
I was not necessarily asking for a specific reason or to get an answer to any specific scenario. I just thought it was a conversation-starter that might illicit some interesting discussion. I agree that when a person is dead, they are dead. But the soul is said to live on.That could also be where the "ghosts" come from. Anyway, thanks for replying.
Do you believe in ghosts or evil spirits? Have you personally ever had an experience with a ghost? Would you be willing to spend a night alone in a remote house that is supposedly haunted?
Thanks for your comments. I agree with the thought of only giving out "x" number of breeder licenses per year. And the puppy mills should be shut down and laws become stricter on abuse cases. People also need to stop giving animals away in ads reading "free to a good home" and the like. These animals are often taken by "bunchers," then sold to labs where horrific experiments are done on them. Education, enlightenment and a little common sense by everyo
Animal shelters and rescue groups across the country are hurting for space year-round, but at this time of year especially they begin to bulge at the seams. Unfortunately, as a result, millions of beautiful and loving would-be family pets have to be put to death each year at shelters across the country. Something must be done and WE control the power to make that something happen. I would encourage you to visit www.petsandanimals.org and sign
