Ted: I didn’t get back on the speeding thing. They recently did some tests here in the UK for a similar thing. They removed traffic lights, and took out road markings etc. People actually drove slower, and I think there were fewer accidents. They say it was down to people being confused, and having to pay more attention to their surroundings while driving. A good thing possibly, but having drivers confused is probably not.
