Enough of this nonsense! Obama completely overhauled a condescending old-age pensioner who thinks he's wiser than most because of his record. Being a war hero and a senate senior, McCain talked down to Obama. McCain is a Bushite with a hell of an ego. Well done to Obama for standing up to this crap!

Here's another: The check in lady was extremely busy and someone jumped the queue. " Listen, I am a well-known VIP and I need to catch this flight", the man said. The check in girl announced to to her waiting passengers:" Does anyone know this man?" No-one answered. "You'll have to stand in line sir," she said. "F*** you" , the man said. "You'll have to stand in line for that too sir"

Come on Doc--tell us. Charles, thanks for your comment. Your humour meter reads -10. Don't worry it will improve when you have a good day.

The captain of the 737 was inclined to say goodbye to all his passengers as he stood at the top of the steps. On this particular day he had banged the plane down at speed as he landed and ruffled all the passengers. He asked a little old lady who was disembarking whether she had enjoyed the flight. "Tell me somethng, sonny", she asked, " did we just land or were we

Don't you love Spam? I'm one of those unfortunate people who have 3 e-mail addresses and , although I have blockers , spam still to creep through. I don't reply, and please don't for your own sake. It was my birthday and I received an anonymous e-card---I opened it and thwang, I had a bug bigger than Disneyland! Got rid of it eventually. <span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-se

Trudy, I admire your philosophical view. Let's hope we go into our seventies semi- senile and able-bodied. We cannot, wish for perfect health but we could be lucky. My problem is : I've got so much to do. I need time. Little whip, knowing you , you'll be fighting until your 90. God Bless--I hope you do.

I do not consider myself, at 61, as an old man, and I'm pretty active and fully employed at least for the next five years. I remain deeply worried about my state of health when I turn 70 (nine years time) . I have the early signs of arthritis in my fingers and feet.; I am heart healthy (up till now--but I smoke); my teeth which have served me for decades, are starting to rot but not seriously: my weight is just above average for my

Sorry, been on Summer holiday. KFC, if you know there is an afterlife, can you explain it to me? If there is any logic in this World there is no afterlife except what remains in peoples' minds. There cannot be an afterlife because we are mammals and when we die we go to dust. Our spirits remain in the lives of others. Good people tend to be mourned more than those who have had little effect on our planet. And PLEASE don't talk about a heaven. Prove it is there.

Points taken KFC. But the criteria we have been speaking about are about entering the KIngdom of heaven. Will you be there before me? Will I be there at all as, a realist, I know that heaven exists on Earth and I've told you before it does not exist in the sky. The way we live our lives now is a "State". A state of hell on Earth or peace and happiness. And it all happens here on Earth---it cannot happen anywhere else. I look forward to debating further.

KFC, I cannot agree with you at all: You're saying I must sit down and make things right with GOd before I can become a Christian. Let me answer your points one by one: Firstly, criteria doesn't count. You are either good or bad. You say atheists give to the poor. They must be good people in God's eyes but you are not happy with them. They protect. Then you say atheists are humane to animals, How do you back that up? People who are humane to animals are good people --they live i

My wife thinks I'm an atheist because I believe in some of the teachings of Richard Dawkins. Dawkins simply tells us that religion is a personal thing. Whether he seeks to make out that religion is waylaid by false beliefs is his way way of saying : don't believe everything you read . This is the era of technology and questioning and I question whether a book of phrases, gobbledygook and shaky history is something that should stick to l

I've blogged about this before but I was very negative at the time so I thought I would look at pros and cons this time around. By the way, how do other countries compare? My wife and I spent a "gap" year in Britain in 2004/5. It was a wonderful experience . We wanted to be near our daughter who left South Africa in 1998 to marry an Englishman. As South Africans we found the

I know that many Joeusers are interested in History so I decided to provide some factual evidence on the Siege Of Sarajevo for you to link to. It makes heavy and horrific reading but it is all factual evidence provided by the United Nations Commission of Experts. I prefer to look at the involvement of Milosevic, Karadicz, Mladic and others rather than condemn them outright---

There are no space aliens. Their sightings are usually a result of very fertile imaginations! If they are there where did they come from? Millions of light years away? We've been watching too many movies guys.

I'm sure many Joeusers are as puzzled as I am! Do you wonder why President Al Bashir of the Sudan visits Darfur to a great and tumultuous reception when he has committed the most vile atrocities against these people? He was received with dancing, ululating and posters of support. No one told him that the crowd could have been much larger if he had not wiped most of them

Thanks for your comments. I won't reply to individual comments as this is a sensitive issue. However, I have two points: I know that if my teenage son knifed or shot anyone, he'd be in a pretty comfortable cell and Dad would have a lawyer on call. The World is becoming a scary place when juveniles can be treated like animals because George Bush threw out the Geneva convention in Gitmo's case and I'm guessing he thre

You are missing the point. Children, yes, I mean children, no matter how warped their thinking is, should not not be penned up like adults in a maximum security prison. Are you going to put a 12 year old in there next? Where do you draw the line? Guantanamo is inhumane and should be shut down!

They call Guantanamo Bay Rumsfeld's baby. Rumsfeld has been proven to be a fool who could not decide what a WMD is.Rumsfeld was also the man who dithered while Iraq burnt. He had no plan, no after-invasion infrastructure logistics in hand and , worst of all, he had no idea how he was going to handle any situation, except by trigger. Rumsfeld was/is an asshole, in American speak. This command of his was like asking Yogi Bear to
