I totally understand your situation Mason. I too was out of work for an extended period of time and came close to living in the street. The cards sure seemed stacked against you when you're down, but there is always hope. You've made a difficult first step, and for that, I commend you! I've also made a small donation. Let's hope that some others see this, and we can get things moving in the right direction. Good luck Mason!

Aha, it worked when I posted it through the forums! Question becomes, why?
I don't have any ad blockers of cookie controls set. And I've tried posting with IE, FF, and (this time) Chrome. In fact, I just tried leaving a comment on Mason's blog and it failed with a popup saying, "Your comment was not submitted successfully. Please try again.", which is the problem that I get when I try and post. Now let's see if I can comment on my own blog post!
I was never a prolific JoeUser poster. But for the past several years, more often then not, whenever I try to comment on an article, I get an error message. Doesn't matter whether I am using Chrome or Firefox or IE. On the odd occasion it lets me post a comment, but the next time that I return I am out of luck again. Sigh! Update: I just tried commenting on both my post and Mason's post. Neither worked. When I try, I get a popup saying: "Your comment was not su
Hi Mason, Just dropping in to say hello. For some reason, JoeUser doesn't let me comment usually, but today it is working. I read about a similar (I think) device recently, and was wondering if they are similar. Hope all is well.

Me too!
Well, I just lost a long post that I had written, and I don't have the time to write it again, so I will leave it with a "thank you" to Brad for writing this. It needed to be said.
Welcome back Dharma! Not much has changed other than a lot of the old "regulars" aren't around as much. I mostly follow Mason and BFD these days. Doc Guy is still around. Waiting to hear from Tova for awhile now. Hope that she is doing well.
It's always nice to make some progress. Awesome feeling, isn't it?!
Watched the video. The first name in the phone list was "Joe User"! The bike that rode by had "Evernote" stenciled on the cross-bar.
Merry Christmas! All the best to you and the family. Hope to more of you (and everyone else) around in 2012.
Some rest is always good. Merry Christmas!
I don't what to say, other than to try to offer you words of encouragement. If anyone can get through this, it will definitely be you. You are so strong... Hopefully you get to see the cardiologist soon, and the condition can be treated and reversed. Sending warm thoughts, and will keep you and your family in my prayers.
Interesting figures. If I've interpreted your numbers correctly, it looks like you are paying around $0.20/KWh. That seems high. Are your electricity rates flat, or is there any form of time-of-day rates? Thanks.
Happy Birthday Mason! Sounds to me like you made a very wise choice with how to enjoy your birthday by relaxing in comfort. Enjoy your day. You deserve it!
I had an interesting time in Rhode Island once, back around the year 2000. Town of Westerly. Right on the ocean. Nice folks out there. Another fine read Mason!
What they said! Thanks for the update. You're awesome!!!
Drive safe Rubber Duck.
All the best Terp, to you and the new missus!!! Take Doc's advice and enjoy the time with your new wife. You deserve it.
Hi Terp, Here's a few words from the late, great George Carlin that might help you to deal with your "stuff": http://youtu.be/dn1u6tzwRxA Good luck with your upcoming stuff!
Wow. Reading that sent chills up and down my spine. Perhaps you can take some comfort in knowing that your work is part of the effort to restore life, to rebuild, and to bring normalcy back to Joplin. Be safe my friend.
Not sure why this is "news" today, unless the nets are new. I've seen it reported and commented on in newspaper sites for at least 2 years. Anyway, to put things into perspective, there are hundreds of thousands of employees working there. Yes, you read that correctly - hundreds of thousands. It truly is a massive facility. While the number of suicides is definitely disturbing, the suicide rate is actually quite low given the population. Apple
It's happened to me before, but I can't remember which OS it was. I have 32-bit XP, and 64-bit Vista and 7. As I recall, it will magically reappear if you connect to it. Give it a try.
