I'll give it a shot. It's not so much that its too hard to win, I just like making my own "roleplaying" scenarios if that makes any sense. The planetary bombing was just a thorn in my side when it came to that :P
I prefer playing my own slow-paced way and the instant superweapon build is kinda getting in my way of doing things the way I find fun. Is it possible to disable the superweapons for the AI or just entirely? If so, could anyone help me do it :
Together with the support guy I figured out that lowering the graphics settings stopped the 15min crash, I find that solution rather distasteful seeing as my 7950GX2 ran the game just fine a full settings and the fact that my GTX 280 did just that for over a month. So I'm guessing this is driver related of some sort. The tech guy said that some of you guys had found a solution by tweaking game profile settings in the nvidia controlpanel, anyone with some info on specifics?

I'm a former pirate turned paying customer after using who knows amounts of hours playing this wonderful game, I am however slightly dismayed by the problems that ensued after going 'legit'. Since my purchase I have had 1 6hr+ game and thereafter never gone past 15m where the game would either make a standard windows error sound and close upon me hitting either space/enter (probably some error message in the background) and other times it is the standard windows error reporting service.
