As mentioned in a couple other posts, you can get Quarnium from killing enemy titans or trading with allies (AI or Player).

Are we able to research exotics?
It seems to me only researches that are pre-requesites of combat research are allowed. You can get the needed exotics through surveying, killing enemy cap/titans, and trade with allies.
I think the Raider achievement is broken. The game shows the resources gathered while the raiders are attacking, and I recorded at least 30,000 before before I killed the last AI in a game. I created a fleet of them just to do that at the end. No achievement popped up while I was playing or after the game ended.
As an update on this - I was able to make it work by doing it in a new game. Makes me think it is something abo

Regarding the 4 artifact achievements - the best way I found to do it is on an 8 player map with only 1 easy AI. You quickly kill the AI, then capture all the planets and expl
Only Vasari Rebel starbases with the proper research and a phase stabalizer node at each end can jump. That last one is probably what you are missing.
Could we get the before and after values for the AI resource bonus at each level? Just curious what the spread is.

The problem with materialism as a goal is that it is ultimately empty. The first problem is that money is a means. Not an end. Personally, I tend to use money to buy me time. That is, I'll purchase services to provide more time that I can then spend with my family (for example). But are the people in
Tangential to the discussion, but you mentioned concerns of fraud - and in that regard credit cards are much safer. Identity theft will always be a possibility with cards (and checks), but it is alot easier to tell the CC company "these aren't my charges - I will not pay" than it is to say to the bank "these weren't my charges, can I please have my money back?" more effective too, since the CC companies have ways of dealing with this quickly (cancellin
Also looking forward to TA2 . . er . . I mean Supreme Commander. Interesting interview with Chris about the game can be found here: http://www.shacknews.com/extras/2006/080806_chris_taylor_1.x He mentions several features, including dual monitor support. Put a full size minimap on the other screen
Oh, and that stop light? Well, let's just say it stopped us both now, didn't it? Unless of course that 5 seconds they bought got them through a yellow where you got stopped by the red, and then that happens again, and again, and before you know it they got past every light you got stopped at. <B
was there any other word on this? is it being fixed?
Yeah seems exploitive. If it lets you spend more than that but only charges you to -2000 I can't see that as anything more than a cheat.
Thanks alot. I just cancelled my online pre-order from EB and then went to Wal-Mart and picked up a collectors edition. No hassle, and cheaper to boot!
Very simple question. I asked it back at this post: https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=162&AID=101061#793250 but it is long since buried. Is there any difference between the preorder bonus stuff and the collectors edition bonus stuff? Or are they one in the same? That is, if I went to the store tommorow and found a collector's edition box sitting there, would I be getting any less than if I had pre-ordered the collectors edition? Thanks in
So is "$44.95 + s/h" slightly incorrect? Good question. How much is shipping when you order from Stardock? Is it included?
As far as I can tell in terms of "buy it the day of" or "buy it a week later" there is the collectors' edition and the normal edition, the Collectors' edition has the extra components and tech tree while the normal edition probably wont. Ok, simpler question: Is the pre-order in-game bonus content the same as the collectors edition bonus conte
I am still not clear if there is a difference between the pre-order bonus in-game content and the "buy it the day of" or "buy it a week later" in-game bonus content. Pre-order has additional physical content (fold out tech tree) but is the in-game content all the same? Put simply: how many in-game bonus content packages are there?
Something the media isn't saying is what Exxon Mobil's profit MARGIN is. Not profits, but profit margin. How much money they made in comparison to how much they had to spend to make it. Exxon Mobil had the highest profit in history for one company, but they are also one the biggest companies in history so this huge dollar figure doesn't neccesarily mean anything. So what is their profit margin? I've heard 10% (just under 11 to be more preci
Oh, I thought you were talking about america specificially due to this part of the article: The problem is, the American "capitalist" system has been infused with a dangerous amount of legislation that prohibits a truly capitalist society from emerging. Antitrust laws, while benificent in their genesis, have been emasc
Are they aborting the child or anything like that? If not, then you can perhaps fault them with a hypocrisy in attitude, but not hypocrisy in action. If they don't abort the child then they are following the beliefs they espouse - which is perhaps more important than their attitude. Good story, certainly.
It is equally impractical, and has led to a state of economic feudalism rather than capitalism. This system hurts far more than it helps, as it is reliant upon an oppressed majority for the comfort of a minority. I am a pretty poor college student, I live in the space equivelant of a closet, and I don't
No, I was saying that claiming they represent the electorate's thinking is simply trying to characterize all of them in a particular way to make them look as bad as possible and that making these claims about their thinking is ridiculous. "Massachusetts is for losers" ? C'mon, seriously.
