What a post. Seems like you are a very driven person, a go getter and thats good. You also seem to be overly proud and to me your priorites are screwed. Stop thinking about yourself. life isnt all about "me". If you don't, I swear at the end of the day you'll end up sad and lonely ( mabye not physicaly but emotionaly and spiritualy). It would be sad if a person who is a strong willed as you ended up that way. Good luck
Thanks SSG
I just viwed the video link provided. As an American man and a Catholic I feel very sorry for the innocents who lost their lives in that incident. However I am extremely sorry for the crew of the Bradley. I was deployed in Iraq, fought from south to north and witnessed many, many things. It is very apparent that Iraqis just love to crowd around destroyed American equipment, both to celabrate ( the thought of it makes me sick, but I shouldn't be suprise
Reply By: Messy Buu Posted: Saturday, October 16, 2004 As somebody not in the military, and I'm sure Deference will agree with me, I can honestly say that those who are in the military that'd prefer Bush to Kerry really must not know what it's like to be in the military... like me. Im sorry but Im not exactly sure what you mean, chalk it up to stupidity on my part lol. But if, (big if) your statement: I can honestly say tha
Well im both sad and proud that you have that duty to perform. I too know what it feels like to attend a military casualty ceremony. When my unit lost many soldiers in one incident in Iraq last year, two of which were very good friends of mine, we had one ceremony for all of them at the same time. At first I said to myself that I would not cry, and just honor their memory. Alas I, and my entire Battalion cried. Silently of course as you know. Man after
indeed I will
Damn SPC, im left speachless! Great job! We need to get this article to the media....well they don't want a real persons story so I guess thats out.
Heh heh, you got that right but whats done is done. Air Assault!
Indeed I trust Bush completly over Kerry, but im merely a "watson" in effect: what the hell do I really know? Id say not all that much....except that I right 100% of the time....its just that I can't remember it all at once lol
lol well there you have it folks us Americans are as different and crazy as it gets;)
Reply By: Grim Xiozan Posted: Friday, October 15, 2004 Uhm if a Military person who votes for Bush is like a Chicken voting for 'Col. Sanders'. Than there must be alot of people who like and trust 'Col. Sanders' in the Military. I am a relativly objective person, as is evidenced in my blog and I was just responding, mainly in jest but there is an element of truth in it. Personnaly I support Bush as I posted
Oh yeah...I was looking around and uh.....are you "SFC C"? I know you said you were the NCOIC of the funeral detail and since most NCOICs are E-7s I put two and two together....
Indians!! Man Im not very observant.....guess i'll let my first line no I have a problem with details all of a sudden lol. well now, I have to say that I hate the Yanks too but if they do beat Boston. ( BIG IF DAMN IT) then good. I hope they are worn out for the WS, just like they were before.
Well last time, after my de-moralizing McCain issue, I voted for Gore.....in retrospect that was a huge, major mistake. What was I thinking!
Oh man. My reply goes against my objective blog concerning those two......mabye IM two faced.....nahh, id venture multi personalities instead.
Day Zero.......And they tell you its only ten days....well its eleven and yes Zero sucks lol. Looks like you went in warm weather, yeah but I have lots of luck....most of it bad, and lucky me I got selected to go in the damn winter! The rope, the "nut cracker" all of em are just great when.....a. you cant feel your hands. b. there is a lovely sheen of ice on the course. c. the instructers are just a pissed as you are to be out in the cold but t
BTW is that a Braves hat? Now now, you really are a Boston fan arent you? no.....well damn it I AM lol....so what that my team is favored over NY and is losing the series so far? Nothing new in my world. lol
True enough, Bush inherited a military sadly lacking in manpower and funds, as it were. It's not soley Bush's fault, theres no way it could be but damn, you would think that someone would have figured out a way to bring our forces back around more quickly. I guess, as often is the case, it takes a war to inspire warriors.
Never thought it was a cry for help, simply a poem of pure emotion. Good ones always are...I guess in some ways they all are good. No one, including the author, views the writing the same way. It is something to someone and different for someone else. Often I suprise myself when I re-read one of my poems. I have 6 books full of them starting in 1997 and it seems that I wrote one after another, poems/a type of journal, and never looked back. Now
, yes a chiken voting for the oh-so-sweet Col........only to find that he is slated to be killed, cooked, and eaten.
Thanks and you and your husband are completly correct. Aside from the pathetic difference in military vs. civillan pay, the KBR food SUCKS. Would you believe that my first, highly anticipated meal from them in Iraq was....cold, COLD, macaroni with mustard and diced RAW green pepers...yup KBR sucks.
Hey SPC, so am I, with the 101st. ANYWAY, my vote goes for McCain....or it did last time around,.....for a moment. I proudly went and bought a brand new McCain bumper sticker. Placed it on my new car, went into the house, turned on the news....only to find that McCain had just, i mean JUST withdrew from the race. Sadly I went and spent a long while removing the sticker....hate those things.
Your very welcome. Thank you as I enjoy poetry and even more multi-person (a poet expounding upon anothers) poetry.........ive said "poetry" alot havent I...lol >
Sorry, I forgot to add hello to everyone and thank you for your time. dysmas
