Thanks for the info - I waited for at least two minutes after the upgrade had finished, so I'm not sure the cause of the problem is the same as yours. I'll try reinstalling and see if it recognises the skins. Thanks very much for the help folks, it's appreciated!

Zubaz and ALMonty, thanks for the replies. Why doesn't Enter create a new paragraph? @Zubaz: Yep, all the skins are there - thanks. @ALMonty, when I first rebooted after updating WB6.1 (my previous version was a 6.1 Beta), it showed the the three MS versions shown in the screenshot, plus an 'Unknown skin'. I tried rebuilding, and the Unknown vanished leaving me with just the three. I have since been to Wincustomise and have downloaded a couple of WB6 skins which work fine. That was my main conce

Hello I've been using WindowsBlinds for several years. Today I used Stardock Central to run an update (I have not updated for about a month), and after rebooting none of the skins I've downloaded were visible when WindowsBlinds auto-started. I'm presently stuck with the standard XP, which is incredibly pale, and the Title Bar is missing from all Windows, so I'm having to right-click the entry in the taskbar to close it. What has happened? Can anyone help

Thanks Cavan1 and Master Apprentice Night Train for your helpful comments. I now understand the process a little better. I have not had any more problems with iSkin, and will be a little less demanding from now on! Maybe the authors of GT3 and Blackcomb can revisit their creations and see if the invisible text conundrum can be solved. I hope so, as I think these are awesome. Thanks again <a href="../resources.

Hi Cavan1, thanks for your comments. As far as I am concerned if I pay for software I expect it to work. Stardock is a reputable name and therefore, reputable writers should contribute to the features of the software. Or, the additions should be properly tested before they are released. I am not paying someone to test a 'beta' version of their skin! I appreciate that some of the contributors have varying levels of talent and I also un

Well, folks. thanks for the advice. I had already tried overiding the font as described but this did not make any difference at all. I have discovered that unloading WindowsBlinds, selecting the XP classic theme and rebooting so that WindowsBlinds does not load at startup, then re-applying the skin sorted this out. Hopefully, it should hold through subsequent reboots. WindowsBlinds is obviously still flakey, and needs more work on it.

Hi After getting nowhere with GT3 and trying to make all text visible, I am presently trying iSkin Right Xtra. While this is a pretty cool skin, I find that text in address bars and folder listings in My Computer, in Save and Open dialogs amongst others are tiny and barely readable. Anyone know how to make the text bigger? I have tried configuring the text size using the WindowsBlinds Advanced Configuration dialog, but this simply mak

Hi I recently posted a query concerning invisible text in WindowsBlinds. Well, although the suggestion helped me view some of the web sites I was having difficulty with, it has not helped when using Windows programs. There are some programs such as McAffee Security Center where options and button text remain invisible even after using the switcher. WindowsBlinds is supposed to enhance my Windows experience, not impede it. Does anyone

Hi I am running WindowsBlinds 4.51. I have a problem with 'invisible' text on some Windows dialog boxes and web pages. This effect occurs with GT3, which I really like, and to a lesser extent under Blackcomb, where some text is barely visible. An example of this (using GT3) is the following web page: http://www.bcentral.co.uk/issues/technology/howtoguides/default.mspx which is Microsoft's BCentral 'How to...' guides
