Start11 is great for Windows10. Highly recommended. For many reasons expounded in other threads on the topic, I plan to avoid Windows11 at all cost.

Hopefully, yours will be as mild as mine was. And Terry's, too. Appears it's only a matter of time until most/all of us acquire it. Pretty sure I got mine while faithfully N95 masking at a concert (1st in 2 years).
Wrong. Since it presents a danger to the public health, and people's lives the goverment has EVERY right to do so as derived from its responsibility by law.
Have to respectfully disagree with you here, Doc.
Maybe they revive "Clippy" since getting clipped is what 11 is all about.
Check that - he's just been appointed to the Board. This should be quite interesting. Buckle up.
If I understand correctly, Musk's stake is passive, comes with no influence or decision-making power. Influence it, he will, however, even if indirectly.
I've been using Stardock products since 2001 & love 'em but their versioning practices have been weird & unnecessarily confusing from the gitgo.
Go to this URL & you'll see everthing included in your subscription (some of which are obsolete): https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products Click 'View Individual Downloads' under Object Desktop Manager.
Anyone calling themselves an environmentalist, or who believes CO2 is killing the plan(e)t, should be advocating for as much nuclear power as possible. And pretty much everyone else, for that matter.
I have received a fair amount of entertainment value from following certain Twitter accounts but have never had an account myself. With those limited exceptions, it's pretty much a load of garbage.
We've had dozens of dogs over the years and every time we lose one, I totally decompensate, so I completely understand. Condolences, Brad. Here's the next one I'm going to lose my shit over when he goes:
You've always been Super. Now a Wizop to boot? Couldn't happen to a nicer.... Wizop.
chunkyll - I don't believe betas are available as trials. Usually available only to owners of release versions of standalone apps and/or the Object Desktop suite.
Looks like my tech guy was right. Should rename it MSBook. Or maybe ButtBook, since that's where MS is shoving everything.
By jove, I think you are correct, Doc. Initially, the change icon dialog wouldn't open for any desktop icons but after the reinstall, it is opening normally for non-MS365 icons. Maybe SD can work their magic & get past the block, cause the 365 icons suck and the document icons are almost blinding in Dark Mode and list view which is of course what I deal with all day. (One can hope, right?) Hope all is well with you, Sir.
Took a flyer and tried a standard uninstall, reboot, reinstall, but dialog still fails to appear. IP applies packages normally, just can't change icons individually. Interestingly, it remembered on reinstall the previously chosen individual non-default icons, except for the MS 365 related icons.
For further clarification, here is the dialog that fails to appear (from a different rig without 365):
Thanks for your help, basj.
Got this error attempting to run the bat file as administrator: Do I need to run IP & revert to all default icons before the purge? Do I need to do a standard uninstall first? Thx.
This is the Right Click (Context) Menu in question. Clicking Change Icon no longer brings up the IP change icon dialog. Looked the same prior to installing MS 365.
Desktop icons or in Explorer.
Sorry, should have included this with the post. Win10 Pro 21H1 19043.1466 IP 10.03 Issue is with right-click on an icon, then selecting "Change Icon" - nothing happens now, whereas it was working normally prior to installing Microsoft 365. Thanks.
I just installed Microsoft 365 (had no choice in the matter, neither here nor there). Now the right-click "Change Icon" function is not working - dialog just fails to appear. I can open IP itself but the right-click option is on the fritz, even after a reboot. Anyone else encounter this? Suggestions? Uninstall/reinstall? Thanks, Daiwa
"Yes Icon Packager is Not yet supported for Win11 .." Is there any indication that it will be? Thx.
Well... they would. [e digicons]*_*[/e]
