I finally started looking into Winstyles and I have a few problems with the .suite set up. 1. When I made a new .suite that included stuff that was already on my hard drive, winstyles went to the net immediatly instead of checking to see it the files were already on the HD.. I believe that this definatly needs fixing. IT is silly for the user to download something more than once and it also takes more bandwidth from the site.. 2 I can't seem to figure out a way to edit a .su

Galfant: " beauty is in the eye of the beholder" I thinks that skins should only be moderated on technical issues. If a skin does not work properly remove it. Please note this is my opinion because I generally prefer to use skins that are not that popular such as my own and I offer them up here at WinC to those who might want to use them. IF you are worried about only the best then sort by d/l's or ranking. But be sure to remember that most of the skinz are rated or downloaded based on

Cheryl have you tried posting your problems to the stardock news group for windowblinds? Answers are gotten there instead of talk of brittish vocalists. the server is news.stardock.com and there are a few groups for windowblinds on it..

? not sure exactly what you mean but, here's a try for the Window borders, scrollbars, and other GUI elements you need to use the program window blinds to apply the skin. for the Icons there are a few programs but on Wincustomize Iconpackager is the only one supported and it is probably the best at applying complete Icon packages to your system. As for some of the other things you might see in a screen shot there are a number of programs that could be doing it....

But T-Man you can't say that without a skin library whether it be the old stardock library or wincusto that stardock would sell software in the current climate. IE skinz.org (as it was) it gone for all intents and purposes. So please stop claiming that Wincusto has little or no bearing on sales or renewal with new version or ODNT renewals. If I had to search all over the internet to find skins for WB when I first started with WB it would have been fun for a while but the fun would have worn th

1. I don't take the site for granted and I know that the most of what I percieve as whining by Brad is a not really pointed at me it's pointed at the newer members of the community, some of which are young and really don't understand the TCI of a skin site. From the internets origions in the early 90's we were taught that everything should be free and for some it's hard to see that the decline in revenue for internet advertizing and the rise in bakdwidth costs are causing the current delima, As

/me gets on his soap box Many of the points in this thread I have debated over and over. Ratings are abused by some that have the right to rate. For instance I have a WB skin that got some excellent comments and was once rated at a 7 or so and is now @ a 1? I don't get it. No the skin is not perfect it was one of the first to support the XP features and Information on skinning them was scarce.

/me thinks wow I don't think my 29 years here were that long.... BTW it's the maturity of the comversations (even the silly ones) that keeps the older crowd here.

As mentioned earlier I have been using Mozilla regularly since ver .9 and now version 1.0 rc2 and have encountered very few problems with current websites. If you stunble on a site that was made with frontpage for IE 4 you may have problems but most high profile sites are normally designed to the w3c standards and mozilla renders them correctly.

I am currently using RC1 and love it the popup suppression and ability to be skinned by WB is awesome. But seriously untill vendors can ship Mozilla with new boxes or most of the major ISPs convert I would say the user base will still be small as compared to IE

I guess I'm just Bass ackwards My company purchases PS for us and I use it some but, I started with PSP with version 2.0 I think, ( showing my age a little) and I have updated with each new version since. I definatly prefer it to PS or corel stuff.. PSP is a windows program and therefore it is written for a windows user. Things are in a logical place and do the expected things. PS is a mac program and there for it is set up to be logical for a mac user, at least that's how it seems
