I love the new ObjectDock Plus 1.5 upgrade, but I have noticed one problem. Regardless of what layering I select, the ObjectDock bar appears on top of Microsoft Word (Office XP version) whenever I lauch this word processor. For every other application I tested, the application appears on top of the ObjectDock bar, but not with Word. Can anyone help with this? Thanks!

The built-in recycle bin docklet allows you to drag trash to the recycle bin in version 1.3. This is a feature that was not working properly in earlier versions, and I thank the Stardock developers for fixing it. Do not try the downloadable recycle bin docklet here, as that one does not work properly.
I have complained about the Recycle Bin choices in ObjectDock for some time. But you CAN drag and drop garbage into the Recycle Bin with one of the docklets--you just have to have the "show active tasks on dock" activated..... I would never use the delete key to get rid of my garbage--thats defeats the whole purpose of the Windows GUI.
I am still upset that, if you run a program at a different screen resolution than your default desktop resolution, frequently when you return to the Windows desktop the ObjectDock Bar is not the right size. I hope this gets fixed in a future release.
Well, Stardock certainly is a responsible company that responds to customer feedback, and that is why I have hope for incorporation of the changes I requested. As to Roger's suggestion that I ask for help on the forums, there is simply no way to get the non-tabbed dock to appear anywhere except the screen edges, and several others in the forum have asked about the problems with the recycle bin, but so far to no avail. I am not trying to a a
To Chris: I have indeed checked all the ObjectDock recycle Bin docklets available. What's critical to one person may be very peripheral to others, so I would not be so definitive in my judgments.... I will keep waiting, but I see no reason to get my hopes up.... Bob
I am very frustrated that I have been waiting for months, since I first acquired and registered ObjectDock Plus, for a couple of very simple changes. I realize that the developers are awamped with requests, but mine are so basic that I cannot understand why there has been no attention to them at all in the last two updates. Here they are (again): (1) I want to be able to place ObjectDock anywhere I want on the screen, not just the edge
I have been compaining about this a lot! The only fix I could find is to allow running programs to be shown on the dock, which for some reason negates this problem....
I am very disappointed with the new ObjectDock Plus 1.11 update. It addresses none of the most critical limitations of the product, such as the inability to place zoomed non-tabbed docks anywhere you wish and the continuing problems surrounding the inability to drag trash to the recycle bin on a zoomed dock unless you allow running applications to be displayed on the dock. Most of the important changes appear to apply to the tabbed docks alone. </FONT
I figured out a way to eliminate the WinTV problem resulting from ObjectDock Plus (as well as my earlier Microsoft Word problem).... What this leaves are only minor issues I can cope with: (1) When you drag trash to the recycle bin in a non-tabbed zoom dock, the trash can will wiggle away unless you have either "show running applications" or "show Windows taskbar" activated (this is true either with the default recycle bin or the add-on do
I am having a similar problem with running WinTV (Hauppauge) from ObjectDock Plus. If I minimize the TV window and then restore it, I get a black screen (and sometimes even when I change TV channels). I wonder if there is a problem with TV/Movie video coming in from an external source....
Well, I solved the problem I reported with Word XP, but the limitations about dragging trash to the trashcan (requiring that you either show running applications or have the windows taskbar stuff displayed) is still a bit frustrating. There is also a new bug to report: when I run my TV application (WinTV by Hauppauge), the screen goes black if I minimize and restore the picture window or sometimes even if I change channels. This only occurs
No, I cannot make a tabbed dock with just one tab because then there is no way to get the recycle bin to work where you drag and drop garbage in the bin.... But thanks for the idea!
Thanks for the quick reply, but I am using a non-tabbed dock, and I see no "Detach from Edge" option when I right click the dock and the option menu comes up.... Am I missing something? Thanks!
I love ObjectDock Plus, but there are a few issues. First, for some reason when I launch Microsoft Word (part of Office XP) from the program, ObjectDock (which I have centered at the top and specifically do not have "always on top" selected) appears over the top of the Word menu buttons--this does not happen with any other application. Second, it would be neat if the Dock could be floating, rather than attached to the edges. Third, the Recycle Bin s
