My bad, Uzii. I looked back a couple of pages to check to see if anyone else had spotted this, and didn't see any mention of it. Otherwise, great mod as always...!

Uzii: Found a typo, which might (or might not) be the problem Lazerbug is having. At the beginning of your GalaxyScenarioDef.galaxyScenarioDef file, you have the following: starType designName "RedStar" designStringId "IDSGalaxyScenarioTdypeStarRed" orbitBodyTypeCount 1 orbitBodyType "RedStar"

When Blair said:
I just made up the word RT4X 3 years ago to describe the game we were making because it felt so different than anything we'd ever played or heard of before.
He most assuredly didn't say:
that it is so unlike any other game out there that it has to be put in its own box.
I think it's fair to assume that Pax Imperia: Eminent Domain was such a mindnumblingly putrid gaming experience that Blair and Brad simply

Uzii: It's funny, you posted something in another thread just a few minutes ago about it being in "the evening." I was wondering what sort of exotic crack you were smoking because, in my typically US-centric mindset there's no way it could be any later where you are than where I am (in New England), and it's barely becoming "the evening" out there right now -- but the fact that you are on the "other side of the pond" certainly explains a lot. :-D

There is already a mod for this here: [link="https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=10&libid=71"]https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=10&libid=71[/link] Note, however, that this is not 1.03 compatible - the string file is out of date. However, if you just drop the "font" folder from this mod into your SINS installation directory, that should more or less take care of that (there may be some occasional places where the new font will push text outside the borde

For those hoping to merge mods, I have found [link="http://winmerge.org/"]WinMerge[/link] to be incredibly handy. With it, I have successfully merged Uzii's mod with a number of other mods, including [link="https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/301418"]Bailknight's Graphic Mod[/link], [link="https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/175584"]LazySumo's Minimal Mod[/link], Max Tael's [link="https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/178003"]Sins Texture Pack[/link] and [link="https://www.wincustomi

Would really really love to use this nifty-sounding tool, but I get the following error on execution: SinsEditor has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost.
Funny. In case you haven't noticed yet, personal attacks do not phase me. I actually admire it.
I don't even know what this is supposed to mean. Do you admire the attack itself, or the person attacking? And why would you admire such a thing? I mean, honestly....

Ah, yes. Deadly Secret. Uzii's un-Easter Egg. It sucks when you get stuck with it, but I have to say that I really like the idea of planets with negative effects. It reminds me of the days of identifying items in RPGs and getting a really nasty effect that actually made the sword/helmet/what-have-you worth less than it would have been had I not identified it...! ;)
The files modders use are in text format. The files the game uses are in Binary, this includes files from patches. We as modders can not edit the Binary files from this game and therefore need to be given the text format equivalents by the devs. These are what make up the 'Reference Data' folder in the Beta Mod Tools download. So, whereas we (the modders) have the reference data from 1.02, the game is now using 1.03 files and their changes. Put simply, there is no way, at presen
Complex: However, any changes made by 1.03 to files used in S+1.2 will not effect the game as they should do. Say 1.03 changes the Terran planet max pop-cap to 300, instead of 280. You will not get that change in S+1.2. You will still have Terran planets with 280 as their pop-cap. But, if the change was made to a file not altered in S+1.2, then you will get that change. These will be unit stats changes etc. I hope that makes it clearer.
Uzii, Any plans to update
I bought this game from Best Buy. They won't allow me to return it. I can't trade it either because registering this game means its mine for good because it told me it can't transfer. Is there a satisfaction guarantee from the developer?Anyone want to buy this game from me? I'll give my user/pass and I'd sell it for $30. I just opened it a few days ago and just can't get into it. I just read the BS around the patch problems and just don't want to deal with it. What pisses me off the most,
