... In a later patch they added an even better option, "No technology Brokering". This option restricted trading only the technologies you researched yourself (same for the AI), instead of being able to trade for a technology and then use that newly traded tech to gain other ones from different civilizations. After they added that I usually played with that option checked and "No tech trading" unchecked.
Give three options: no

Good to know. I'm running slowly too, ESPECIALLY LATEGAME . I frequently have to quit and restart the game as that speeds it up. I almost wonder if there is a memory leak somewhere .

I agree, this does need a little more balancing. I understand the reason a sovereign/champion's importance drops late-game (ie. men vs. armies) but it could be balanced. For example, your champions could evolve into generals or governors and have passive bonuses to armies or cities. For example, in the beginning of the game a champion named Gregory could be great against wolves and individual soldiers but later on when he's fighting armies he i

Wow! Everyone loves the cloth map. I like it too, especially for strategic planning and movement. However, I REALLY enjoy the 3D map for fighting, city design, and seeing my characters do things. The graphics are pretty good so I like to see em. Also, I agree with all VR_IronMana suggestions.

Charisma needs more importance, definitely. I like the idea that charisma: Lowers prices of hiring new heroes Army moral effects Diplomacy bonuses Quest bonuses More quests from people Lowers store prices Increases fertility rate (decrease if below 10) Possibly city bonuses (prestige or gold, from "governing" or something) It just needs more function, imo.

Some excellent ideas here! I'd enjoy seeing more customization and uniqueness to... everything (despite how much we have already). I like your faction setup idea, what if that could be implemented with or expanded by an ingame civics system (like civilization 4).

Inventory management is a mess (3C) because it's unorganized in the bar. Clicking the unit and organizing through there is better. One solution could be to expand the bar when you click "items" to accommodate for more rows of items. I love the idea of keeping defeated enemies items! Lastly, when you upgrade your equipment it might be a good idea to update the character's portrait (or put an option in somewhere to manually update it). We also need <stron

I do believe that diplomacy points are going to need some actual "real world" value. Maybe they can be cashed in for items or quests or for special city specific abilities (ie. bonus to trade or income). Again, they are PERFECT for singleplayer but just need a little meat for balancing. Then again, I find myself arguing FOR multiplayer balancing... and I HATE doing that. Base the game around a solid single-player game and worry about multiplayer "balancing" last and not

Agreed on all counts. EDIT: Agreed with poster below me. Don't make it an automatic or mandatory upgrade but rather optional. Also, infantry should probably only be able to upgrade to other infantry, archers to other archers, ect. And definitely add unit experience before release and let them keep it while upgrading. Lastly, like the user below me, allow for unit grouping.

Do only certain stations have these unique ships? For example, if Military Station A has the Military ship is it possible and/or likely that Military Station B wouldn't or won't have it? I guess I kinda havent been paying much attention for them until I got to the point where I could get one... and now I can't find any to get.

Does the ability to obtain or ask about the "Unique ships" go away or become hidden after a while? I've been promoted to Ace, killed two of the Dominator leaders, about 130 Dominators, 30-40 Pirates, and I have almost 1 million credits but I don't even see the option for a unique ship anymore... Anyone else had this?

It always starts off nicely with relative peace, lots of prosperity, but you begin to see an increasing Dominator presence and then, in humanities worst conflict and most dangerous period, things begin to collapse. The Dominators claim 30% of the galaxy and are growing in power with local forces unable to resist and counter-attacks sparse and ineffective, things look bleak. I return home to discover my home star system, Sol, to be plagued by pirates, brigands, and other nefarious characters who

Looks like it's installing right now. Hope it goes well! Thanks for the Impulse update. Edit: Install doesn't work! After I install Reboot it doesn't detect it and the process starts all over again. It then says Reboot is "Availible", I click "Install", it downloads, and the process starts all over again... Time for ANOTHER ticket... :(

I had the same problem as you as are some others. There is a simular thread here[link="http://forums.impulsedriven.com/315477"]WWW Link[/link]. I have submitted a ticket and, so far, all I've heard is that they know and are working on it. Hopefully there will be a fix tomorrow or Wednesday. I think it has something to do with Impulse and installing, however, I too am begining to lose my patience with this.

I find it a rather weak arguement to claim that PC Gaming is dying simply because of graphics. If anything I'd say that core gameplay in games is killing gaming (this is for all gaming, not just PC) because gameplay is being replaced with fancy graphics. However, I believe that PC games have the highest valued gameplay because they are more immersive and easiest to use. Gameplay should and should always remain more important then graphics and that is something the PC is superior in.

A fix? The sooner the better. I bought the origional Space Rangers 2 (contained on a disk) from Cinemaware Marquee and have it installed and when I try to install Reboot over the origional then it says "Please install 'Space Rangers 2' before installing this application". Are there any work arounds like what kgavin is talking about. His suggestion didn't work but I'll keep trying. Considering that Space Rangers 2 has so many distributers I suppose this expansion can complicate

I was looking through the data folders under mods and the game directory and couldnt locate them? Anyone have any idea how to add them. The other day I saw them inside the Civilization folder but I didn't want to edit that too much. How do I get them to be modded in?
