If you read an official response from Bioware, all the reactivation's occur on the same server, so games in the future will use the same activation process and they will have no reason to remove old games from it because it isn't costing them any more upkeep money. Granted, maybe when the game is "that" old, they will release a patch that removes this reactivation.
Go away for 11 days or go on vacation, and then tell us how your bought game does.
I do not think this is how it works. I think if you just run your computer, you will be fine...running the game without an internet connection 10 days after you last had access may be the problem.
I sent a PM to some administrator on the website requesting to do graphics work. My offer still stands.
Considering the box says "Games for Windows" you can pretty much forget official support for other OS's.
On the contrary, Impulse has been released. It is working for me... It is waaaaay better than SDC. I am using Impulse 1.0
I do like GalCiv 2 (no expansions yet). Apart from that, Civilization is fun, but I do find space 4x games more enjoyable. I hope they kick development of FreeOrion into high gear (an open-source game similar to Mo2 and other space 4x games). I know when they have a complete version of that available that it will consume me.
I am assuming that because you are in Singapore, most of the people you play are not very close to you, which would justify the lag.
They obviously have to address the online multiplayer...but that was announced to be a part of version 1.1, thankfully.
Man, I wish I had a better computer... Supreme Commander was too intense for my system, so I can't imagine what this will do. Damn.
Hitting Enter then Tab will put /a in there automatically.
What the hell does "NERF RA" mean?
I don't know if this is a problem, but I ordered the game a week ago and it has yet to arrive (I am in continental US). I think it may have to do with me putting my mailbox info on the first address line (I live on a college campus). Would this be problematic? I put the actual street address on line 2. The "shipped to" address on the receipt is as it should be if someone was trying to send something to me but I don't know if the autosorting liked it or not. I sent an e-mail btw.
...a self destruct option for bold captains
Maybe just for the Advent, since they are sort of the "religious fanatics".
What I would like to see (even in the current version of the game) would be a revamp of the current system of acquiring ships. I do not think all capital ships should be available immediately and cruisers and even some frigates require research. In order to make this balanced, Ironclad had to significantly cripple the capital ships so they wouldn't overwhelm everything. But isn't that kind of the point of building a massive battleship? They kind of underwhelmed me when I built them...they should
I was wondering if anyone has assembled a nice pdf hotkey chart that I can print off? I ordered the box, but it won't get here for a while and I want to have something to use in the meantime with the digital release.
